Persianfootball.com – TEHRAN, Iran’s national football team coach Carlos Queiroz called on Choi Kang-Hee, South Korea’s national football team coach, to apologize to the Iranian and Korean people for his shameful and embarrassing remarks.

Queiroz’s statements came in response to Choi’s claim that he wanted to crush Iran’s hopes of an automatic World Cup qualification next week after being ‘badly treated’ in Tehran last year and that he wishes Uzbekistan to qualify directly to the World Cup instead of Iran and that he despises Iran.

The Portuguese expressed that he wants to be very clear here and hopes that international media will cover his remarks and continued by saying that the South Korea’s head coach had lost his respect through his unprofessional comments.

He added that the Korean team did not play hard enough against Uzbekistan in their 1-0 victory and only won after an own goal scored by the Uzbek defense.

“He (Choi) said we didn’t treat Korea Republic well in Tehran, but I say we provided them with the best possible capabilities”, an angry Queiroz told reporters.

“Choi is a disgrace to South Korean football and he has insulted Iran.”

Queiroz added that Choi’s remarks who should be a professional coach are a disgrace and brings only shame to Korea’s football football association and he is sure that players and the fans of Korea Republic team totally disagree with Choi’s remarks.

The Iran boss indicated, that he will purchase an Uzbekistan jersey and will hand it to Choi as a gift before the match and hopes Choi has the courage to wear it during the South Korea – Iran qualifier on next Tuesday.

Team Melli will play its final World Cup qualifier in group A in Ulsan which is about 400 km away from Seoul on Tuesday, June 18 at 9 pm local time.
