PFDC – ESFAHAN, Persepolis and table-toppers Sepahan shared points in a thrilling heavy-weight opener of the 30th round of the Persian Gulf League on Thursday evening in Esfahan.

Both teams provided viewers in the stadium and infront of the TV with an attractive match between two Iranian powerhorses, who are fighting for the championship or a spot in the next edition of the Asian Champions League.

Despite a balanced strength throughout the match, Sepahan managed to take the lead by a goal of the Albanian striker Sukaji in the 82nd minute.

Persepolis’ Mohammad Nouri destroyed the home side’s hopes of celebrating big points against their archrival from Tehran by scoring the equalizer in the 87th minute and, as a positive side effect, recommended himself to higher duties within Team Melli by a strong performance.

In other League clashes, Esteghlal Tehran defeated Saba Qom 3-0 on Friday afternoon at the Tehran Azadi Stadium, whereas Teraktorsazi Tabriz celebrated a 2-0 victory over Foolad Khuzestan at the Tabriz Yadegare Emam Stadium.
