MNA - AMMAN, Iran football team is to play Jordan in the 2011 Asian Cup qualifiers without its nenou-training09foreign-based players, Iran football coach stated.

Afshin Ghotbi said the Iranian players who play in foreign clubs will not be able to accompany the national team.

“The match will not be held on an official FIFA day, therefore we cannot use the players in the game,” Ghotbi said.

Iran will have to face Jordan on November 22 in Amman.

Iran tops Group Five with seven points. The team has been drawn along with Singapore, Thailand and Jordan.
