PFDC - TEHRAN, Iran will play a friendly against Uzbekistan on September 5, an Iranian football official confirmed.
The general secretary of Iranian football federation(IFF), Mr Mehdi Nabi has announced on Saturday that IFF have reached a final agreement with their Uzbekistan counterpart to play a friendly match at Pakhtakor stadium in Tashkent on September 5, Mehr news agency reported.Mr Nabi also explained that due to World Cup qualifiers being played on September 5 and 9 in Europe, IFF was unable to arrange friendlies against European sides during this period.
Prior to this match, Afshin Ghotbi's men are scheduled play Bosnia on August 12 in Sarajevo and Bahrain on August 31 in Manama, respectively.
Team Melli is preparing for its next Asian Cup qualification match against Jordan on November 14.
