Don't believe it. Untill IRI is in power; dream on getting anything more than regional qualifying rounds even that is debatable lol. It made us laugh if it was for jokes

LOL. Iran is 20 years away from being able to host an asian cup.

        World cup? LOL!

You've seen what iranians do in the comment section of instagram. how do you think they'd react to foreign women visiting kish? disaster.

I say let us change the regime just so we can be hosts in the World Cup.

I think what TAJ( IFF) and Qatar FA signed is NOT hosting WC games but rather building training facilities for WC participants. This makes sense, as Iran both Culturally and politically cannot hold WC games, its a HUGE TABOO! So Im happy for Qatar to come in build amazing training facilities and infrastructure for the WC teams and then let us have it after is all done!! This is a HUGE bonus for a cash strapped IFF!!

There is still a chance World Cup may even be 48 teams!

However, if the Qatar-Persian Gulf Cooperation Council relations weren't as bad as they are now they would certainly hand over a few games to UAE.

In fact, the UAE is so pissed off that Qatar won the World Cup hosting rights that they apparently agreed to cease hostilities if Qatar allows UAE to host

And also to the members making fun of the World Cup games being in Iran... please read the article. Nowhere does it say that nor did IFF ever claim such a thing. Again, the idea is to have a few decent training camps in Iran and also provide some alternative tourist destinations for visitors.

I hope IFF pulls off this agreement, chon ke ma khodemoon hachi orzehayi ro nadarim.
For years after the WC such venues could serve us an excellent TM training & friendly hosting destination..!

Would this mean Iran gets automatic qualification?

                      No.
We wouldn't be hosting any games. Just training camps.

Still would be good to expose some Iran plus we can have future TM camps here instead of Tehran

If it means allowing women in stadium, removal of compulsory hejab during world cup period, and allowing Israel to compete in Iran if they qualify, then it could be a very positive thing!
