I watched the game as well.

Mohammadi was extremely tidy with the ball, used his pace well to cover and stop counterattacking opportunities all game, and was pressing 100% the entire 90 mins.

His home supporters gave him rounds of applause multiple times.

He has definitely improved a lot and I give a lot of credit to his coach, his players all play intelligently and seem to have a very good tactical understanding of their specific role in each game.

Hopefully mohammadi can start in europa league soon as well.

milad was excellent. His tackle in midfield initiated move for the goal, and his it was his run that dragged opposition cb out of position and caused the space to open up for cross and goal. His cross shortly after was inch perfect and somehow two gent players unmarked couldnt tap it in. Was getting standing ovations from crowd.

He is developing into a modern fullback at gent, adding an offensive element to his game we havent seen before. Gent full backs play very modern, tucking into to create man advantage in central midfield while in possession, and still possession speed to go give options in wide areas as well. Technically he is way more proficient in his one touch play and decision making to. Good thing with out Right Side of Defense up in the air, the left side with milads presence is very solid. Just because wilmots crappy system makes our best players look like shit does not mean milad needs to be replaced or is a bad player.

Article by Belgian league analyst on milad. Already he is gaining plaudits in belgium for his strong performances. I have a feeling he will start in Europa League thursday. As I said its only a matter of time until he takes starting spot for good. Gent are a quality side and in hindsight this has been a great move and fit for milad.

"HE WAS STRIKING OUTSTANDING AT AA GENT"

Antwerp FC won 3-2 against AA Ghent on Thursday. The "return" followed on Sunday. It became 1-1 in the Ghelamco Arena. Analyst Gert Verheyen saw another stronghold at the Buffalo’s alongside Jonathan David and Vadis Odjidja.

“Besides David and Odjidja, who played great again, Milad Mohammadi was a striking star at AA Gent. Mohammadi was the only substitute in the starting eleven compared to Thursday. Compared to Asare, Mohammadi brought more duel power, power and walking ability, "says Gert Verheyen in Het Nieuwsblad.

Milad Mohammadi came over transfer free from the Russian Akhmat Grozny last summer. The 26-year-old Iranian made an impression against the Great Old against opponent Aurélio Buta.

“In the one-to-one duel over the entire flank with Buta, he definitely came out as the winner. By winning direct duels, but also by walking past Buta with and without a ball. He also did not hesitate to take a cross if that opportunity arose. His passes were not always good, but he did kick a lot. "

Gert Verheyen lists other qualities from the left rear. “His position choices were also very good, so he could easily intercept passes from Antwerp. His physical qualities are more pronounced than those of Asare. And it is also because of the physical strength with which AA Gent took the plunge that it now looked better than Thursday and actually deserved to win. ”

The club's social media page took a lot of pictures surrounding Mohammadi and his training with the team, maybe a case for him to start tommorow after a great preformance on the weekend? I think he will.

starting! It is clear he is the starter now, put in for this key Europa League match away to st ettiene (currently tied for 4th place in Ligue 1). A point will guarantee Gent's progression from this group, a win will wrap up first place.
