I didn’t know Mansourian could speak English. Danesh garm, although not very fluent, but still good enough compared to many other Iranian coaches/players:

He actually did very well. I thought he was nearly fluent, but just with a VERY thick Iranian accent and probably lacking some vocabulary. Also really appreciated his shout out to the Iranians and the flood situation.

Congratulations to all Iranians on this week’s ACL 2019 matches!

          Zob Ahan 3-1 Al Wasl

          Persepolis 2-0 Al Ahli

          Esteghlal 2-1 Al Hilal

Also, these 3 clubs have spanked their respective opponents multiple times in the past as well so it was even MORE enjoyable

          Esteghlal 1-0 Al Hilal
          Esteghlal 1-0 Al Hilal
          Esteghlal 2-1 Al Hilal

          Zob Ahan 3-0 Al Nasr
          Zob Ahan 4-1 Al Nasr
          Zob Ahan 3-2 Al Nasr

          Persepolis 2-0 Al Ahli
          Persepolis 3-1 Al Ahli

I never say this and will probably never ever say this..

            But..

The real royal blue for me is Esteghlal. Not Al Hilal. And I don’t care if they won their ACL titles when the ACL format was different. They won 2 ACL titles and as an Iranian and as our (Persepolis) rivals I respect them more.

Believe it or not I respect Al Hilal as a club too, but they have not shown to be the best #1 Royal Blue in Asia since Iran’s Royal Blue has had their number in the last year. Not to mention Esteghlal has defeated Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia as well (2013 with Arash Borhani and Pejman Montazeri scoring the goals).

So kudos to Esteghlal for coming back and for Zob Ahan and Persepolis as well! In the league Persepolis is your daddy but in Asia we are all Iranian

                    AHL 1 - PER 0

                    Minute 30.

It's been mostly PER but they missed a few good chances and AHL scored on a penalty.

Perspolis playing so sloppy in the opponent’s box, with their bad finishing and passes

Were any tickets sold for this game? Stadium look so empty minus a small area where the Persepolis fans are.

The flow of the second half makes you think Al-Ahli is trailing by a goal. They keep attacking so far into the second half

Shoja is always a huge liability with his temperament. If we keep ruining our scoring opportunities, I predict conceding another through yet another counterattack
