Wish him the best, but not seeing it the kid looks malnourished. There’s probably an Iranian connection with this club there’s an Iranian/Polish player David Rezaeian who plays for them too.

I'm confused about his first name btw. He's listed as Mohammad Amin on many sources but there is no mention about Mohammad Amin on his instagram ( amirreza.dostali11 ).
There were some questions regarding names and age at the time of U16 ,2018. Chamanian said ( at that time) that , no issue with name and "he is 14 playing for U16".
If I recall correctly there were 2 U14 among U16 players Sharifi ( Foulad and Doustali( Doostimeher).
Shrifi now play for U19 Foulad.

not sure about malnourished but he is on skinny side. OFC he just turned 18 today so he has time for that (not everybody is allahyar). His speed makes up for a lot of that, but certainly he has the physical potential unlike some of our talents, good frame and height and natural explosiveness.

I think more of our young players need to take this kind of opportunity. Go to Europe and play on the u19-u23 team and develop. When Saeid went to Athletico, it was the best move for him. But too many of our youngsters get sidetracked by the quick money. They rather sign at Persepolis or Esteghlal. There is no vision. Sacrifice short term for a bigger payday on the back end. I always wondered what would have happened if Saeid would have stayed in the Atletico youth system for another year or two.

Club seem to have some decent investment behind them as well.

              new stadium.

Besides Kozlowski who they sold to brighton for EU10 mil this Jan. (had lot of other interests too), they have made few other relatively expensive sales of their u20 players to italy (Cagliari, Parma) and Genk in the past 1-2 seasons as well.

Never forget the nationality of their export. Except if Iranian does a great breakthrough in football and/or international relations,it will be harder for us

Harder doesnt mean impossible. ARJ made it from nijmegen to PL, he did not have mentor or somebody to vouch for him on level of Kia.

Azmoun will shortly make plunge to top 5 league, only guy vouching for him was tasbih holding Berdyev.

Taremi at age 27 went from Al gharafa to europe and is now critical player for portugal's premier club.

Milad from Rah ahan bench and chechen wilderness made it to starting in big EL games for at the time one of belgium's best teams. His own failings resulted in his decline since then.

We can continue to play victim card, lot of odds stacked against us, that is true to an extent no doubt. But ultimately talent is recognized in europe. If you are truly good enough you will get the chance.

This kid is starting from age 18. For past 8 years he has been trained in most european environment Iran has to offer. Regular tournaments in europe playing likes of ajax, RB salzburg, Barcelona, Bayern, etc, friendlies against likes of Shakhtar donetsk, Hamburg, and many others on regular basis, experience training with foreign coaches (many Hamburg academy guys went on rotation to Fc KIA for months at a time, including one who shortly after became head coach of senior side). In such an environment he was consistently the best player, in such tournaments he still managed to be the best or one of the best.

OFC there is chance he doesnt amount to anything special, like with any young player. But Kia is likely the best talent spotter in all of Iran, maybe along with Daei (although he specializes in already professional players). I find it unlikely he invests so much time, effort, and trust into somebody who he thinks cannot make it to the top.

Similar academies like Kia's also exist in other countries where youth development in football is not standarized. For example, Ghana's best academy is directly exporting players to Nordsjaelland, very small lower table Danish side.

This was path likes of Kudus (now ajax), Sulemana (now Rennes) have taken. Many others are being tested there as well, some fail and others become europes most sought after talents.

If Kia can get similar arrangement going with this top polish team, or multiple similar arrangements with teams in other countries not in top leagues where they commit to helping these players development, providing them right conditions, and giving them real chance then that could be the start of a huge pipeline that gets around a lot of the issues with sanctions and transfers that usually harm our young players.

I think this is exactly the idea Kia is going for. He just needs to get a few suitable european sides to commit to it.

The kid's already training at a higher level than most of our TM starters, drink it in.

and promptly shipped his ass back to iran after a highly successful 1 goal 1 assist campaign...lets not exaggerate. The level is good enough for an 18 year old with no pgpl minutes. The same ahmadzadeh who failed in poland (despite what seemed like a promising start) now is a key player for our best domestic side, sepahan.

Pogon may sell his iPhone to costumers left and right. But when it will present/sell some exotic smartphone (even if the smartphone has good ratings/reviews), the customers will be less enthusiastic/numerous.

He’s only a key player because Navidkia let go of Mohebi to steal Moghanlu from Perspolis, Ahmadzadeh has a terrible scoring record wherever he plays, I watched most of Sepahans games he’s misses two open goals a game. Also, he wasn’t anything special even before signing for that Polish team and they still played him in over 20 games.

He'll join up with TM soon enough, in 4 or so years he'll have transferred to a much bigger European side if he keeps this attitude going.

This is what Iran needs, glad that Mahdavikia is running his academy and I hope he'll manage to continue doing so. Took him what, roughly 8-9 years to get here? Kia FC might not make it to the top of ACL in the next 5 years, but if this trend continues (hopefully) they'll have won at least 1 or 2 in the next 10 years.
