A-3 years contract in 3 phases
    B- Paynment currency Iranian currency.

    Phase 1: WC qualification 2020-2021
    Phase 2: WC.2022
    Phase 3- Asian Cup 2023

Disgraceful. Some no name 3rd tier croat with no international experience. Worst option after Daei.
      We'll lose to Iraq again.

Croat coach are very good and strong. Look at the past with Tomislav Ivić and later 2001 Miroslav Blažević and Branko Ivanovic of this 2 Branko was the most succesful with Iran we where the best in Asia.

We had to keep Carlos Quriouz with us but I wonder what the new croat will do for us and if we are going to make it?

Everything is relative, given current situation and financial aspect options were limited.

I think he is much more useful coach for Iran than 1st tier Marc Wilmots.
That m҉o҉t҉h҉e҉r҉ ҉f҉u҉c҉k҉e҉rr , did not even stay in Iran to watch games, his coaching was disaster and main reason losing to Bahrain & Iraq yet he has sued Iran for over 6 million , money that IFF does not have.

Skocic , reside in Iran for few years , like Iran and enjoy his work and is not done a bad Job. He did very well with Foulad.
No other foreign coach will accept to receive his contract with Iranian Curre ncy, but He accepted. When choices were trio of Daei, GN, and Skocic , his selection is not disgraceful . He might not be the best coach ( he is not ) but he is best we could afford under circumstance.

          Time to support him.

Who did you expect then? Even Di Biasi was bashed left and right while his CV is better than all the possible candidate (GN, Daei, etc..).

I also regret that his international experience is quite limited but he is better than return to the past with someone that already fails (Gn, Daei, and mess creator Branko). And at least we won't have endless resignation announcement in international media every 5 min.

his coaching CV looks pretty poor to be even a consideration for the supposedly still Number1 footballing nation in Asia...! but such are the times, i guess..!!?
but 3 fking years contract..??? be it in stages...!!
i figured him(or any other of the lot under recent considerations) to be just temporary fix, just to get us through this stage of WCQ, possibly next @ at the max...!!

agreeing to being paid in Rials was the key issue that probably won him that lofty contract..!?
guess , i should just be relieved GN didnt get selected..!!?

I've accepted our fate of missing out on the WC. At least I don't have to deal with the stress anymore.

Good choice considering the not so strong choices we had. I think it should work as he has shown to be a decent coach. The positive point in this was that we finally got someone. Now let's be optimistic.

It's a 1-year contract with options to extend depend on his performance.

Of course his CV isn’t anything special when looking at his teams he’s managed but for those who actually follow Iranian League he’s been one of the better coaches for a while every single team he has managed he has improved especially Sanat Naft. His teams play good football none of the Ghalenoei-esque bezan ziresh style. He clearly likes Iran and has a high level of familiarity of our football.....only a fool would call this a bad move given the circumstances of where we are at
                        Team Meli Iran
                        Perspolis FC
                        Malavan Bandar Anzali

i dont follow iran's domestic football, but its reassuring to hear from those who do that he is a decent coach...! can you guys elaborate on his team's preferred style of play and formations..!!?
his best bet would be to keep it overall defensive and counter attacking ..!

@ a very least he doesnt mind living and working in iran and it looks like he actually give a fk about his jobs, that by itself is already a massive upgrade over his moftkhor *** edited *** predecessor..!
what are the chances of Hashemian accepting to assist him.?? if he pouts, Dragan should certainly opt for Markar next..!!
Lets get to work rightaway agha Ejdeha..!!

Best wishes and good luck coach..!! hope you make a believer out of me too..!

Unlike some Iranian coach he is educated.

Something I like a lot about his track record is the big success with outsiders in Cup competition. Seems he really knows how to motivate teams and get results in do or die games. 2 Cup titles and reaching 3 further Cup finals really is something that makes me hopeful for our four upcoming finals!
