We got the favorable result & an important win to keep up with Iraq who is going to still top the table by hammering Oman 5-0!?
Regardless of the W, in the last 10-15 min I saw, as a team we didn’t really look well organized nor following any particular formation or team tactics..!? Good ol KharToKhar, har kee bara khodesh football bazi with players loosely staying within their assigned playing posts...!
Announcer said that Reza Shekari was sitting on the bench ..!! Wtf is up with that !? How could a player of his caliber not be able to crack the starting line up of such a clusterfk ..!??
I thought Kranjcar knew his head from his ass..!? I could understand him being ultra experimental during the friendlies & prep stages but why would he omit key talents or move an obvious MFdr to CD ..!?

Kranchar said after the game that they kept more talented players for future games. I don't necessarily agree with his choices and lineup yet that seems to be his reason for not playing Shekari.

Kranjcar is a good coach. He can do it. The team he has is very talented. Two last games were pretty much warmups Team is ready for Iraq.

based on what I saw this team can't qualify for the Olympics. but for now let's hope they can pass the first round. then they have time to make a better team for the final round. but I think at best this team can finish the competition with 7 points. not a sure thing if that will be enough to qualify us as one of the best 2nd placed teams.

4 years ago we had much better group of players but not a good coach. this time looks the opposite of that.

Delfi. He has an Injury. He was invited but did not show up.

Shekari. Perhaps several reasons.
He has not been with the team long enough.
He will play next game. They play every other day.
He does not fit Kranjcar tactic in 4231. Roostaei & Jobeireh are speedy wingers and Shekari is a ball hugger sometimes.

It is best if Mehdikhani play as a winger position he is best at and play for Padideh and previously at U20.
Noorafkan can play different positions but he is not a CB and has no future in TM or top club as a CB. Same with Ghaedi, He has no future with TM.
Kranjcar is not a good coach, Esteeli is a bad manager. They will defeat Yemen and their future depend on defeating Iraq. Odds against Kranjcar but in football results are often unpredictable.

While I do agree with almost everything you said, I do disagree with your assessment of Ghaedi. The kid is a very technical player. He brings the type of flair that has been missing in recent TM, similar to Golizadeh. He is 19-20 years old. The key for him is to leave Iran like yesterday!

He is 20 years old At 1.66 H , Unlikely to be picked up by a good team abroad. Gholizadeh is 1.76 it makes a difference. َ

Sayadmanesh is another major talent who is currently injured. The issue with Delfi is a bit confusing. There are reports that he is injured but then there are additional reports that he was invited and didn't show up. If the team makes it through this phase, and they get Sayadmanesh and Delfi back, there is a small chance to qualify as the second or third team.

Ghaeidi is talented but not talented enough for someone of his frame to make an impact on international level.

Ghaedi is a ghol-kochik kind of player, he will never be dominant player on regular base because of his physique. He is good for last 10-15 minutes of the match.

He is reckless and immature , irresponsible. Last year he purchased a car without having a driving license. He was stopped by traffic police driving without a license. They were nice to him ! he was released with a written promise not to drive till obtaining a license. A month later in his home town he was involved in a deadly traffic accident. He was returning from a night party with 3 friends including Shaker a young footballer and a girl ( referred to as yellow pant). Their car crashed resulting in the death of Shaker.
In hospital he told inspector, he was a driver and initial police report named him as the driver. ( although later on they removed evidence of Alchohole in the car in a report).
Later on, the story changed and he said he was not a driver, a girl said she can not remember who was the driver and Hasanzadeh owner of the car, later on, changed his testimony and said himself was the driver.

Shaker family still insist there were pressures and cover-up in Mehdi behalf since he was involved in a fatal crash while driving with prior.
He was released with no additional charge but he knows the truth himself and has to live with that.

مهدی قائدی در اولین جلسه دادگاه شکست خورد. خبرورزشی در این زمینه نوشت؛ او تلاش کرد تا قاضی را قانع کند پشت فرمان ام وی ام نبوده است ولی پس از ادعاهای او، قاضی پرونده جمله ای گفت که باعث شد قائدی در اولین جلسه شکست خورده باشد. او خطاب به بازیکن استقلال گفت:
«شما الان می گویی پشت فرمان نبودی ولی وقتی در بیمارستان بودی، پس از هماهنگی با رئیس بیمارستان بنده اولین بازجویی را از شما انجام دادم که همان جا گفتید من پشت فرمان بودم.»
