      The last round of matches have some potential cup finals for teams to end up 3rd

      Kyrgyzstan vs. Philippines
      Yemen vs. Vietnam
      DPR Korea vs. Lebanon
      Oman vs. Turkmenistan

      Worth noting that if the unlikely event of us finishing second happens, then we're pretty much guaranteed a fascinating route to the final:

      R16 = Saudi
      QF = S. Korea
      SF = Australia
      Final = Japan

      Wow, now that's just sexy. Championship in a spectacular manner.

        FYI, Turkmenistan is the ONLY Asian team where we don't have a winning record against.

          If we finish 1st, I'm hoping Iraq ploughs through some of these teams as their cup streaks can be pretty good.

            Dafuq?

            We have 3 wins, 3 draws and 2 losses against them. We can singlehandedly attribute our bad results against them to the free-flowing football of Mayeli Kohan's tenure, which some people clearly want to see again at the expense of discipline and playing the kind of football that people respect rather than get a horn on for.

            BTW we have an overall winning record against every Asian team.

              With China and Qatar needing a draw in their last group game vs South Korea and Saudi Arabia, it is very likely for the latter two to end up runners up in their groups and completely change the brackets! So much uncertainty yet! Even if we finish first we may not have as easy of a path as we expected (apart from the round of 16 game)

                Tru dat.

                Bro I love your username, Branco was one of my favourite players in 1994 the way he placed his free kicks was unreal. I actually thought he was a better set-piece specialist overall than some of his more illustrious successors in Brazil.

                  I think korea will beat china 1-0 in their last group game. korea wants to get on the easy side of the tournament tree and with son back in their team they will be extra motivated. they didnt play great so far and beat their opponents twice with only ine goal CQ style) but they going in this game to win. I hope they do. I dont wanna face them in QF already...just not necessary. Guys there is table on wikipedia where you can see the different options who we might play or not . there you can figure it our instead of just throwing team names in here lol

                    Wtf, I didn't remember the 3-1 win at the end of '15. That's fantastic.
