    Another "useless" foreign coach

I opened this thread somewhere else as well, but I thought that it was a very interesting subject.

It seems that another of those coaches that came to Iran and who was largely ridiculed as a hack, useless mercenary and by some creative minds, as a Portughal forosh has reached success upon leaving Iran.

Nelo Vingada won the South korean league with FC seoul, FC Seoul won the league for the first time in 10 years in what is arguably Asias most competitive league. With Vingada, they won the league and had the best record in terms of goals scored, goals conceded, points, wins etc.

(Denizlis double with Besiktas, Bran*** Double with Zagreb and this years Chinese league, Kranjcars good record with Montenegro to name a few other examples of coaches leaving Iran and having success)

Not that Nelo Vingada was a prophet, but obviously more than qualified to coach Perspolis and if given time, could have been successful.

The fact that so called football authorities and media in Iran do not know better is obvious, but I am still amazed that lots of normal fans seem to be falling into the same trap over and over again.

    very true.
our problem is we dont give time to coaches to do their thing (except branko, who got 5 years)
we demand immediate success and if we dont see it immediately, we fire them!
given our sh1tty infrastructures and football set up, it is clear these coaches need more time than usual to get used to us and have an impact

So true. Especially firing Ivic and Denizly who could have brought us a lot of success.

I think you missed the point.

Ghotbi at least has been given the offer ...... the original comment had to do with all of our "best" coaches still hanging around IPL. These coaches wouldn't be given an assistant coaching job let alone a headcoaching offer .... They've learned to play the system, create hashieh, associate themselves with the right "circles" and any other useless behavior just to extend their career.

The same point could be brought across for Ghotbi as well..

The reason for this is because WE THINK coaches are our problem…they rnt.
We thank and support Mr.Kamran Delan for many years of dedication and service to Iranian Football Community.
