From 4.30 minutes onward, Ghotbi's statements wanted me to THROW UP.

He started saying: Iran is such a good country where people can freely voice their opinions on different subjects. From this point of view, Iran is progressing every year.

Saying stuff like this, when iranians inside Iran are being KILLED everyday because of having different opinions than the regime shows the TRUE DIRTY CHARACHTER of Afshin Ghotbi.

A charlatan COMPUTER FREAK, sold to us a a coach, who would DO ANYTHING and SAY ANYTHING to keep his job.

dont be hatin on Ghotbi. Daei and Mayeli Kohan put together dont make 1/10 of this man. Ghotbi is a man with heart. he cares about iran and thats why he is here. he has trouble with his farsi. that is why some of the things he says we reply to with a "what?". other than that im pretty sure hes not that stupid to not know people die for Iran. maybe he had to lie you never know. when you work under the islamic republic, you have to be pressured into saying things you dont want to say. damesh garm. first of all my friend, this is a football forum. theres no place in this thread where we speak of Iran, as in the countries situation by far. second of all, when Ghotbi said people express their opinions he meant in terms of football. and we all know in football, everyone in Iran expresses their opinions freely. its a fact. there is nothing political in his speech. Ghotbi is a lion heart. he is a lion heart for team melli iran. if he wasnt a lion heart, he wouldnt put up with the regime and be our coach. he would leave when the islamic republic told him to do what they wanted him to do. but he decided to stay, and take all the crap from the islamic republic to help Irans National Football Team. take all the s*** and for example go to Meymoons speech gathering. if you dont like Ghotbi thats a different case. but i respect your opinion anyways though i dont agree. have a nice day

Ghotbi is the man. He made the most of a tough situation. He can't turn around and start cussing IR out, he is a soccer coach, not a politician. The fact that he hinted at the subject is interesting. It's like he is being sarcastic and at same time he is trying to bring attention to the matter.
