Iranian Champions Want Gheorghe Hagi - Reports
According to reports in Germany, Romanian legend Gheorghe Hagi is wanted by Persepolis to become their new coach.
De Morgen claims that the ex-Romanian national team boss has been offered one million dollars to take the position.
The Iranian champions are looking for a permanent coach to take the reins from caretaker boss Afshin Peyrovani.
Afshin Ghotbi led the Tehran club to the title last year but resigned in November.
Persepolis are currently in third in the Iranian league but sit nine points behind leaders and rivals Esteghlal.
As well as Romania, Hagi has experience coaching Turkey’s Bursaspor and Galatasaray as well as Romanian club Politehnica Timisoara.
