Iran wins the First WAFF women Futsal

Iran Futsal team defeated the host Jordan 7-8 in Extra time to win the inaugural West Asian Football Federation WAFF Futsal tournament.


The final match held in the Jordanian capital Amman , was a thrilling affair with the host leading by two goals at one stage before the Iranian girls came from behind and managed to lead 7-6 seconds before the end. However , a brilliant equalizer in the dying minutes of the match gave the host a lifeline and extrain time was playhed to kill the deadlock.

Iran goal came late in the match to cap a solid performance from the Women team in their first international appearance.
