Please give this a read on TEAMMELLI- For strategie experts experts only-

My Philosophy is, that you have to arrange your team and system according to the players you have and their mentality of playing soccer. Iranian players are all offensive minded players and get frostrated when they have to defend the whole time. This is what we have witnessed the last 2 games.
I believe with players we have and the Iranian mentality we rather win games 4-2 instead of 1-0.

Branko is actually a good coach but not for Iran because he always has that defensive minded action that stops our players from PLAYING THEIR GAME.

I think this should have been Iran's line up from the beginning:

    -----------------------------MIRZAPOUR-------------------------------

    --------KAEBI-----------------REZAEI------------------NOSRATI--------

    --MAHDAVIKIA-----NEKOUNAM--------TEYMOURIAN------------MADANCHI

    ------------------------------SHOJAEI---------------------------------

    ----------------KARIMI------------------------HASHEMIAN-------------

We DO NOT NEED 4 DIFENDERS..... Because:

In a system like this you need wingers to be running all the time AND be quick. Our right side is PERFECT because we have Mehdi and Kaebi, but in our left side we have to do some adjustment and that's why I put Teymourian and Hashemian at the left side.
Even though Hash is a striker, he is great in starting the defence from front, FORCING THE OPPONENT TO START PLAYMAKING FROM THEIR LEFT SIDE which is our strong RIGHT side.
Madanchi is also a big runner and with Teymourian's help they can close the gap.

Offensively with Shojae actually in Karimi's position we have a very skilled player with playmaking abilities and pace and also a big runner that can help the pressing, leaving KARIMI as a FREE player who is responsible for being ALI KARIMI that we know , the same role Ronaldinhio has in Barcelona.

I hope you guys found the time to go through this, I was never a couch but played in Germany for 20 years and have been studying soccer almost my whole life and a HUGE TEAMMELLI FAN....

Let's hope for the best for the Iranian Football...

    Mehdi

i think it will be really difficult for a conservative coach like branko to start shojai. Your formation is deffinetly offensive, and i believe it would be great to test out, but once again, Branko is really conservative, starting shojai will be a surprise for me.

Would be a surprise for me too and that's why I say Branko is a good coach but not for Iran.

it would be better if you switch mahdavikia and Kaebi. I'm okay with shojaei but u should remember that we have players such as zandi, mobali, jabbari, and navidkia in that same position. I would put mobali over there instead. and if u r talking about the wc squad, I'd put zandi there instead and later on I would sub in shojaei

It looks good on paper, but u always gotta experiment with these lineups to test them.

That's right and I think this is the best time to do it because first we have nothing to lose, second we represent our young players to the world stage, third we give the young players a world cup experience for our future games.

ok i love your idea...but as you said shojaei is good play maker and we have seen only a bit from him but we still need someone like Borhani to do the Pressing..for teams like Mexico and Portugal they built their team from defence and we know karimi is a bit lazy and hashemian is not the best runner but we have seen borhani doing it perfect
CHANGE YOUR AVATAR IN SUPPORT OF ALI KARIMI
