He'll likely start in the cup on Tuesday. He needs to make an impression but also get some good minutes under his belt.

I worry that, for match fitness before the world cup, he'll be relying on B team games as I can't see him breaking into this squad in the premier league. He'll just be getting whatever minutes the 3rd Brentford change of the game arrives at. Today that was 7 minutes. Rarely enough time to make a meaningful contribution (except Watford away last year) or to get match fit.

Yeah it seems pretty clear he is leaving...considering he was one of 3 subs just at the weekend and now doesnt start in a competition he always started and performed in last season.

I really think he can do better than going to Malmo or something. Hopefully he has option in France, Spain and if not championship is also good. Even one of the bigger turkish teams would be very solid. IF he can play in any of those as a starter he will almost guarantee himself xi spot in WC.

He should go to Ligue 1 where he played his best football, no need to go to the Championship and struggle or potentially get injured.

It may not be completely bad news... It seems this team today is Brentford's C-team. Ghoddos is a solid B-team player. So unless the C-team gets results, we are going to see lots of subs to put in A-team and B-team players.
