Had a goal and decent key pass in the box.

On the other hand he messed up two really good scoring chances, and had a really bad turnover in his own half.

Overall, same story as last season. Wouldn't be surprised if the Feyenoord signs a winger to take his spot.

Imagine he would have stayed at Nimjegen , you never know, thats why i love Taremi to stay and end his career in Porto.

          Any vid of the goal?
Second chance was a good overall play by arj except the shot.
First chance, good block, half poor first touch, and decicion to shoot like that, hold and shoot after the tackle. He is no ronaldo in that situation but its also a hard one, it goes very fast plus good tackle.

Why would he stay at NEC. He made the right moves up until his transfer to Brighton.
He should have gone to a team that would have allowed him to actually play his football, even if that meant Germany or Spain.

Staying in NEC would have been a poor move and sign of zero ambition.

On the first attempt he was completely open when he received the pass. He waited too long to take the shot… And look at his body language after… First preseason game and you can already see the hesitancy and low confidence. What happened to this guy?

On the first miss, I don't think it was that bad. The pass pushed him out a bit wide, he trapped it (a bit of a heavy first touch), took a shot, but it was a good defensive play. He could've done better, but it wasn't a sitter.

On the second miss, good play by JB but he definitely should've done better. I noticed, he tries to smash the ball in too many times, when he can score with precision.

All in all, I still think JB will bounce back this year. He took 1 year to settle with AZ too, Feyenoord has lost some offensive players. He will get his moment, he just has to capitalize.

Jahanbakhsh saying that he knows last year wasn't good and that he should do better. He missed the pre-season last year but started of scoring now, so he says he feels more confident and hopefully he can continue having impact.

Looking at the couple of clips, it seems as though he was playing a more central role and looking to finish rather than build up. That would help his case.

Neither were Walemark or Nelson... but they ended up takin significant playing time away from him.
