These are all great opponents. Team complained a lot about preparation and rightfully so but these will be good tests against very strong teams.

I'm willing to stay patient with Mahdavikia. If his aim is the Olympics, we have to give him the opportunity to prove himself.

Mahdavik kia won't be now able to change policy and go with U23 or U24.
As I have tried to show with graphic, Last week of July clubs ate busy with training and PGL start August 6 and they will not release their U23-U24 players to Omid team specially when he has announced his policy and committing to U21 players.
Mahdavi Kia is not in Iran and won't return until few days before training camp that will last between 10-14 days.
2 weeks training is hardly enough to be prepared to face an older experience team like, Turkiyeh, Morocco, Senegal, Cameron, Algeria...
Mahdavi Kia will face 3 strong opponents in 5 days.

Let's hope his team will do well and give hope for future.
Mahdavi Kia's contract will end after Konya games on September 2022,

Results may be a factor for extension of his contact.

we have our first iranian "parvazi coach " in kia.
i am against that btw but i am willing to give it a chance
since our non parvazi coaches have failed since 1980(bythe way we made olympicwith hassan habibi as hc BUT DIDNT GO DUE TO WAR
but the media count our olympic failair since 1976)

st-mark for 2 reasons kia job is safe no matter what
              results are.
1.they made commitment going withu-21team for asian cup 2022, so failing in konya and asian games later on in sept
              results dont matter.

              2. kia is connected to high places in iran
(he beat the isreal flag drama with ease )
and when he got summoned by FANI commitee
              GHASEMPOUR AND ALIDOSTI
              to answer results for ac2022
              he brushed them off.
so he will not get embaressed by not getting
his contract not renew over results in konya or ag.
team omid is his untill 2024 ac .
since he dont need money ,after contract expires
there wont be any decision made till there is actually need
for him SINCE WE ARE 18 MONTHS AWAYminimum till
actually team omid will have any meaningfull matches.

1- Asian cup Hangzhou was schedule for September this year but has been postpone indefinitely.
2- Olympic committee president has been his biggest supporter but his own stand is very shaky.
Israeli flag issue is a sensitive issue and only to say he was saved by threat of FIFA sanction and due to outside factor.

TM technical Committee called for meetings with Sko and Mahdavi Kia as a matter of procedure , they both refused. TCdid not make an issue because they think time is in their favour when it comes to September extension.

Once again, U23 need a full time qualified coach and not a parvazi part time coach with limited experience as a head coach.
Supports and admirations will not in the end compensate for bad results. Unless he get result he will not be able to hold to this job regardless who is backing him.

As you are aware few years ago( 2014) U23 team had Leno Vingada as a coach recommended and supported by CQ.
His results were bad despite having great players ( PAG , Rezaei, Karimi, Daneshgar, Mosalman..). He got 4 defeats in 8 games. CQ attended his last talk with TM committee as support and he never again wanted to do anything with U23 team.
If U21 lose 2 of next 3 games, his result will be duplicate of leo Vingada's.
                ------------------

                Edit-Add-on

One thing Vingada did right and excellent was his decision regarding PAG.
Up to that time Murteza was a DM player. He was the first coach played him as a CB in an official NT match and recommended him to CQ as a CB.

                  durring the 2014 wcq
cq brought him for those 3 muat win matches
                  and he was successful .
kafashian tried pull fat one on cq WITH ONE PAY ALSO
take care of the omid team lol cq was too smart for him.

i will mention you a name which i think sholud take over
if kia for some reason is not our coach anymore.

parviz mazlouimi never has gotten his far share in our football.
back in 07 beforw the asian cup we had the west asian games
in jordan if i remember right AND AMIR GLENOIE sent mazlomi
instead of himself to that tournment and we bet iraq with the same players they won the 07 asian cup with i, in a very hustle
                  pro saddam iraqi fans.
                  mazloumi after galenoie got fired
was the #1 candidate to take over team melli
But you know the rest politics CHOOSED DAIE OVER HIM
                  and gotbi.
in ss mazlomi style was the moat beautiful soccr any ss team
ever played , IN KNO TO PLAY UGLY FOOTBALL but thy get results BUT WITH MAZLOUI THEY PLAY BEAUTIFUL FOOTBALL
and should of won the league 2 times with him BUT SS has a lot of turmil within among themselfs back than, A LOT OF GALENOIE, hejazi ss fans didnt want him succeed .
he was on top of the world with ss fans chantig parviz chooplehpoopleh AND THEN IMAN ZAYED CAME IN AND DROPED 3 GOALS ON RAHMATI IN 10 MIMUTES.
. and offcoure the year majidi left him
when he was in blink of winning it all.
mazloumi is perfect example of victim of a bad system.
AND HE SHOULD OF BEEN TM COACH AFTER GN.

IF OFFER THE JOB HE WOLD TAKE IT
remember he taked over u-19 team for few weeks not too lng ago lol.

                  if no kia
and offcourse no one going spend money on forigner coach
MY CHOICE IS PARVIZ KHAN E MAZLOUMI errrr
as we persepolise fans call him parviz mooo masnoie.

Let’s hope he succeed and prove his critics are wrong.
Best is to support him for August games while criticise him constructively for improvement when is needed.

In case for whatever reason he did not get an extension IFF will select Iranian coach because has no money.
In the past PGL coach were not interested to coach U23 because IFf offers was fraction of what clubs pay them but contract with Mahdavi kia and his foreign assistant is different and much better.
Mazloomi has success in the past but best options will be current PGL coaches who has success with young players and has years of experience at club level.
Hosseini of Peykan, Mohajeri of MIS , Tartar of Zobahan are examples.

                    On a lighter note
Speaking of Parviz, he was last week at U17 game versus Parsian U19 along with Marfavi and IFF Majedi. Hardly anyone recognized him without toupee.
