And it’s one that does not grant freedoms of any kind, or accommodate people’s demands in any way. What is increasingly clear is that there is clear demand for change in the regime. What the people want is regime change, and no return to the past. There is a very real possibility of regime change." - Nasrin Sotoudeh

Great to see we actually organized a friendly against a respectable opponent. Should be a great test. Should be interesting to see how we handle the likes of Alphonso and David

Wish I was in Vancouver for this

These are the same types of folks who caused the revolution.
Protest IR all you want, but why you gotta ruin something all of us enjoy in spite of IR.

They are entitled to do that. I personally view TM as separate from IR and support the boys, but some (like Hamed Esameelion) lost his wife and daughter to IR, so I can understand if he against anything official from the country. The only ones who should be embarrassed are the IR leaders.

They can organize protests all they want. But to go and protest our National team is disgraceful. Our boys are preparing themselves for a World Cup. Something they’ve dreamt of and worked for their entire lives. And they’ll be met with their own hamvatans protesting their match

Mixing politics with sports is never a good thing. These people can protest elsewhere

It says Iran is trying to organize another friendly there? Which other teams can they organize a friendly with?
