He will try his best for us.
He comes off a khaymal , and has been reported to be friends with high level iri intell agents-pictured with a few of them [emoji2371]

Hmm 2 friendlies with WC-teams, not bad. Now if they could arrange a friendly in Iran( beginning of camp) or 14th june( end of camp) then we’ll have 3 friendlies. Just like the other WC-teams.

If we go by pictures, no one is free from scorn. A lot of people that know these people can attest that they all hate and are disgusted by IR - because unlike you and I, they work in IRI's system and know how frustrating, corrupt and immoral it is.

Even the IFF, while we complain about their incompetency, are different than IR (i.e. they want women in stadiums, they want more transparent money to flow in our football etc.)

Put yourself in their shoes. They have to work with what's there.
"This is a totalitarian system whose presence people feel in their blood and in their flesh on a daily basis. And it’s one that does not grant freedoms of any kind, or accommodate people’s demands in any way. What is increasingly clear is that there is clear demand for change in the regime. What the people want is regime change, and no return to the past. There is a very real possibility of regime change." - Nasrin Sotoudeh

Fair enough …it’s hard not to judge from the outside looking in. I know for a fact one recent former tm player was a friend to the Pahlavi’s and when in the states would visit them and be invited to their parties in the east coast .

We also played them in 2000 in the US and won 2-1. Interestingly the 1999 game was also in Canada (edmonton).

I think game was with their U23 not senior team.

LOS ANGELES -- Cheered by a large, loud contingent of fans, many wearing green, white and red face paint and waving Iranian flags, Iran's national soccer team continued its historic U.S. tour with a 2-1 victory Wednesday night over Ecuador's under-23 squad.

Good analysis, you're right on the money.

It's hard for well-meaning people to operate in a rotten system, but they have no choice

Canada women announced a friendly against South Korea today to be played in Toronto's BMO Field, but their game is on June 26 so Toronto is still a possibility

Toronto probably, but I could also see them selecting a smaller city to minimize the political aspect.

The thing is that the mohajeds (which majority of the people against the match are) are willing to travel to smaller cities to protest, but the average fan isn't going to go to Moncton to watch a match, so if anything, the protests will seem bigger than they actually are in a smaller city.

Honestly not sure where the best place would be.

so how about a game vs turkey or a local turkish team if turkey nt has nations league?
or its maybe to little time to evaluate players + a friendly in a 5 day camp?

Yea practice match vs an avg. to tokhmy local club team or so wouldnt be a bad idea... !! for better assessment of our local players vying for spots with weak legionnaires competition and a final canada game warm up prior to flying out ...?
shoulda left to camp there a bit earlier than 30th for all that though..!!?
                                is PGL still going on..?
