The fact he is not in Yahya's plans also shows that it's going to happen.
Yahya wants him to come back when he's on his pension.

The two-time Hero Indian Super League (ISL) champions Chennaiyin FC added one more player to their squad as they signed Iranian player Vafa Hakhamaneshi ahead of the 2022-2023 season. The announcement was made by the club through their social media handles on Wednesday.
Not a big one, but he is 31 year old and played in Iran U-20.

"This is a totalitarian system whose presence people feel in their blood and in their flesh on a daily basis. And it’s one that does not grant freedoms of any kind, or accommodate people’s demands in any way. What is increasingly clear is that there is clear demand for change in the regime. What the people want is regime change, and no return to the past. There is a very real possibility of regime change." - Nasrin Sotoudeh

SAD president took interest in Iranian Mehdi Abdi

Francisco José Carvalho, president of SAD, was present at Chaves's first training session and took over the agreement with the French side of Lille for the transfer of Brazilian central Alexsandro - however already official -, as well as the interest in the acquisition of Mehdi Abdi, a 23-year-old forward years of the Iranians from Persepolis, as well as the priority of providing the squad with more defensive and offensive solutions.

"Chaves arrived at Liga Bwin to stay. Consolidating the club with good football and boosting players is our objective for the next season", commented the official from Trás-os-Montes, assuming that "Chaves made a counter-proposal for Mehdi": "Our great reinforcement was to keep the backbone of the team, but we want to hire more centre-backs and forwards to avoid the calculator in the end, but we have to be strict with our accounts".

Sporting and financial balance in accordance with the plans outlined by Vítor Campelos, in the certainty that the coach recognized the many changes in perspective until the beginning of the season. "We want to have a quiet season and show good football", began by saying the coach, noting that "Chaves has many players referenced": "The team will be built in my image and according to the budget of SAD because we will not do anything crazy".
