During the meeting, it is expected that decisions will be made on the national team's future and the continuation of their partnership with Skocic. Whether he will remain or leave will be decided in the end.

If the BOD decides to terminate Skocic's employment tomorrow, they will not determine his replacement until another meeting.

      About a week ago, I provided my response. ( 07-11-2022, 09:01 AM ):

Anything but a miracle for Skocic

Given what has transpired over the last few days, the board will terminate Skocic's contract when it convenes for a final and official decision, citing TC's advice rather than political pressure.

Do you think they will hold off on appointing a coach until the election? Cause what if the new incoming IFF president will not like the coach that the temporary IFF president/board selected?

          No.
I've argued a few times previously that I'll be late.

            Politics and the game
Everything is possible given the short 44 days till the election and the very tarnished politics at play.
Taj is hoping that with all the controversy at TM and IFF, there won't be much attention paid to him and his appalling track record. By playing the CQ card and suggesting that, if elected, Queoroz will return, he hopes to improve his chances.
After Taj registration, Majedi immediately removed Haidar Baharvand (from league organization), who is pro-Taj and popular among GA members.
By choosing TM coach now , Majedi is denying Taj that advantage. Taj's prospective support from the GA will cease if IFF chooses a coach at this time.

Regarding the two members of the IFF's lower committee Falahati and Gordani ); the second candidate for president filed a letter of protest, threatening to bring it to FIFA if it wasn't thoroughly probed.

Candidates Ashtiani and Asadi are asking for the dismissal of Gordani and Falahati from the lower court.

Two candidates complained in a letter to IFF that it was unlawful for the lower committee chair Falahati to promote candidate Taj in a public interview while the selection process was still in progress. Ashtiani and Asadi also wrote a letter of protest to IFF.

              Lower court committee members:

Taj shouldn't be elected if the lower court committee and appeal follow the procedures.
Even though FIFA accepted the IFF's amended statute more than a year ago, the legislation is still awaiting parliamentary approval.

                Earlier laws
The election of the IFF president had no term limits under prior regulations (2011), but if the elected president resigned or was ousted, he could not be re-elected immediately.

Taj resigned in 2018 under pressure from the prosecution, citing heart issues as his justification. On the basis of earlier regulations, he is not eligible to run for IFF president.

                Current laws
The new statute has a term limit and only allows for three term participations.
Taj and his attorneys contend that because this statute and rule are new, prior performance is irrelevant, and the time limit period began in 2020.They claim that retroactive laws apply ( عطف به ماسبق نمیشود ).

Because it conflicts with other requirements for candidacy, this legal interpretation can be readily rejected.

In order to be eligible, candidates must have 4 years of relevant experience; if the starting point is 2020, Taj and all other candidates are ineligible.

Prior job experience is important if Taj includes the year of employment before 2020. For example
If an applicant has a criminal history, his record might be disregarded under such an incorrect interpretation for 2022 election.

Base on regulation he should be rejected by lower and appeal committee but he enters this election with support of government/sport ministry and just like selection of TM coach process is dirty and compromised.
KAFTAJ at first wanted to work behind the seen by nomination Nabi. But it became clear he is a proxy with little chance that forced Taj to enter IFF (Kafashian, Taj,).

Taj was under investigation for a potential crime a few years ago, but in exchange for his discreet retirement, he was spared instant prosecution.
Kafashian and Taj saw an opportunity and an opening due to recent problems involving TM and the conflict between the sport ministry and IFF.
Taj entered the contest with the intention of bringing Queiroz back, fully understanding that pro CQ would ignore his lies, dishonesty, and violations in the vain hope that he could do so.

Taj has the full backing of the government, exactly as in his retirement case in 2018. He had been a veteran for 34% up until that point (Janbaz), but the only option for him to keep working at IFF was for the government to change it to 50%. and they did.

Not to mention, Taj's dubious arrangement with Wilmots is still under scrutiny.

It seems at least somebody there in Iran get the idea.

Now it seems there is disagreement over whether Taj is qualified or not, with those opposed to Taj's qualification arguing that if 2020 is the start date for his prior job recorded, he does not have the four years of experience required.

Some people feel that the record of Mehdi Taj's time on the Board of Directors should not be looked at prior to the approval of the legislation in December 2020 and the requirement that it be put into effect as of that date. They attempt to affirm Mehdi Taj's eligibility for voting by retroactively disputing his performance during his three Board of Directors mandates. The lower Committee has also begun to differ on this matter, claiming that Mehdi Taj is unqualified to serve as the president of the Football Federation if his record is to be disregarded before 2020 and is not retroactively retroactive.

Given the debate in thelower committee about whether or not to authorize the Mr, Taj, it appears that FIFA, should be consulted regarding the application of paragraph 3 of Article 33 of the Statute of the IFF.

                Comment

Lower committee will not approve Mr. Ghanbarzadeh, Taj's nominee for second deputy.

High-ranking government employees are not eligible to run for IFF-ranking positions unless they resign from their positions before registering.
Majedi also works for the government and is a part of IFF, but his position at government does not considred a high rank.

Although Taj, a former IFF president, was objected to in court, there were unofficial reports that a lower court committee had approved Taj for election.

Falahati, the lower court chairman, has previously given a biased opinion in favor of Taj, clearly in violation of lower court rules, despite the fact that two candidates registered their protest with the ethics committee.

In responsibility of overseeing all branches of government, the chairman of Article 90 of Parliament Hojatolleslam Peymanfar reacted to the news of Taj's approval today.

"These people ( Taj) cannot legally run for IFF election until the outcome of the Wilmots contract corruption case is known and they are exonerated of the accusations made against them."

It's sad to say that letting him run and winning would be the best thing for our football as of now (even considering his history with Wilmots). Pretty comical lol
