Sardar is the correct Persian form of his name. Serdar is Turkic.

no. They cant bring in a foreign replacement until he leaves so the drop off in quality is way too big.

If they did theyd just badly harm themselves.

I hope Florian Wirtz sticks around for next season. Getting into UCL would probably help them keep him a little longer since he’d get a chance to feature in UCL before making his big move. Same goes for Diaby

An attack with Sardar, Schick, Wirtz, and Diaby would be lethal

It is serdar on zenit shirt for UCL too.

Too bad we have to wait 6 months to see him in Bundesliga

I read Patrick Schick might leave Leverkusen. He is at the moment the 2nd top scorer of the Bundesliga with 18 goals. Sardar is probably his replacement. He scored 27 goals in 45 appearances. That's quite remarkable.

WOW, great move! Bayern Leverkusen dige baba!!!

(I knew he was moving there as soon as he followed them on Instagram, smh.)

I mean finally Sardar, after nearly a decade you decide to move to a top-5 league and even then we have to wait a little while! A little earlier would have been nice, but better late than never!

‎The Iranian international is coming to the Werkself in the summer – with a year "delay". Azmoun was already a hot candidate last year. Now Azmoun decided not to extend at Zenit. Instead, he signed in Leverkusen until 2027.‎
‎Bayer prevailed against well-known competition: Juventus, Lyon and AC Milan are said to have been in the race. Also Burnley. Sporting director Simon Rolfes (40): "With him, our offense gets additional quality, Sardar will make our attack even more unpredictable and powerful."‎

‎Azmoun and Patrik Schick (25) is Leverkusen's storm future. A farewell to Lucas Alario (29/contract until 2023) should thus finally become apparent – but only after the season. Coach Gerardo Seoane (43) said after the Augsburg game, in which Alario scored a beautiful Hacken goal to make it 5-1: "We are happy and grateful that we have him – and we will certainly need both scorers." Meant: Chic and behind Alario as a replacement.‎

‎But back to Azmoun (60 caps/39 goals). His anticipation is already huge: "To be able to play in the Bundesliga soon is incredibly exciting for me. And I am convinced that I will strengthen the team with my footballing qualities." "Bayer 04 Leverkusen has a really great squad, I've been following the club for a long time and I'm thrilled with the way this team plays."‎

In the courtship of Azmoun, Bayer 04 prevailed against several clubs from Europe. Olympique Lyons Coach Peter Bosz had publicly spoken out in favour of the commitment of the offensive man, including the FC Burnley And the AC Milan were among the interested parties.

For Azmoun, the move from Zenit to Leverkusen is "a step from the best club in Russia to one of the best leagues in Europe. Bayer 04 Leverkusen has a really great squad, I've been following the club for a long time and I'm thrilled with the way this team plays. To be able to play in the Bundesliga soon is incredibly exciting for me. And I am convinced that I will strengthen the team with my footballing qualities."

With a market value of 25 million euros, the two-footed attacker is the most valuable player of the Premier League and will join the ranks of the most valuable transfer-free transfers in history in the summer. Only 13 footballers with a higher market value left their club for free.

thats actually a pretty cool fact
