Senegal doesn‘t seem too dangerous but i think it will be enough to make it against Egypt but lets see.
Cameroon will win against Algeria. Tunisia sucks at the moment as well and Mali could win against them. Morroco and Nigeria will go through for sure. We could possibly see only one North African team qualify for the World Cup. Will be fun to watch for sure

Egypt and Carlos Queiroz looking very good vs. Ivory Coast. Egypt has hit the crossbar and really playing some good attacking football against a strong team.
"This is a totalitarian system whose presence people feel in their blood and in their flesh on a daily basis. And it’s one that does not grant freedoms of any kind, or accommodate people’s demands in any way. What is increasingly clear is that there is clear demand for change in the regime. What the people want is regime change, and no return to the past. There is a very real possibility of regime change." - Nasrin Sotoudeh

MoMo final PK wins it for Egypt

CQ team was the superior side for large sums of the 120min .... their MF play is still a big void and they needed a bit more vision, composure and creativity with their final touches in and around the IC box..!

Nice CQ finally wins a Penalty Shootout!

Our squad is plagued by injuries picked up in this tournament too. We lost 3 of our starting back four and only one of them has recovered thus far. Very unlucky. No other big team has had that happen.

deja vu! CQ facing Morocco! :-) .. To be seen if he is going to deploy same tactics with Egypt as he did with Iran to win.

Regardless, it will be a mighty game to watch. I like both teams.

Congrats to Egypt man. Earlier you had mentioned that CQ was playing players out of position and it was weird. Funny thing is, he would do the same for Team Melli like playing striker Ansarifard at CM.

The fact of the matter is, he got the job done and I hope he does the same with Egypt. They were the better side today and deserved a win in regular time tbh.

In just a few short months he already saved them from early elimination in WCQ, got the B team to arab cup semi final, and got further in AFCON than many of the favorites (Ghana, Algeria, Nigeria).

Already he introduced some really exciting young players : Abdelmonem 22 year old CB who started AFCON as a sub but after great game cemented himself as starter (shades of Majid Hosseini rise to prominence) - he had an excellent game tonight I thought. Also callup + giving lot of trust to Marmoush, also 22, who previous management had no interest in despite his game time and decent performance for Stuttgart in Bundesliga.

Sure he will find more in next few months and give them real chances, improve their level in preparation for WC. Another youngster who CQ trusted a lot is LB Fattouh, had a brilliant game tonight against pepe who was flying through algerian defense last week.

This aspect is one we really have missed in TM since his departure.

Coasting into the quarter finals with 3 clean-sheets and 2 goals scored. Quierozball is alive and well. They're going to have to do it the hard way with their route to the final too.

That game was like a World War 2 battle in France with trenches and no one in the middle in ‘No Man’s Land’

Morocco is going to wreck them.

He had some help from the crossbar also.
