Kuala Lumpur: The AFC U23 Asian Cup Uzbekistan 2022 will utilise the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) in all 32 matches for the second straight edition when the showpiece takes place from June 1 to 19.
The AFC U23 Championship Thailand 2020 successfully implemented the VAR in all matches, and it will continue to be adopted in four venues in Uzbekistan, the first time the tournament is staged in Central Asia.

Iraq U23 started their training yesterday.

During first session yesterday several players were missing because of games for their clubs. Their coach Soukup will join training today.
The Olympic team's managing director, Mehdi Karim, said the Olympic team's technical director, Miroslav soukup, will arrive late in the day and will lead training on Monday, which will be hosted by the international people.
he pointed out: the six professional players in Europe will arrive successively in the capital Baghdad from 17 to 23 of this month in preparation for the confrontations with Iran.
"we are looking for the Olympic team to be perfect before entering the Asian championship, so i call on some clubs to cooperate more by emptying their players in the service of Iraqi football."
Their star Zeidan ( Manchester United ) won't be included/Comment

با توجه به همزمانی اردوی تیم امید ایران با دو هفته پایانی لیگ برتر فدراسیون فوتبال طی نامه های جداگانه به باشگاه*های مختلف خواهان در اختیار گذاشتن بازیکنان شده است.
در این بین باشگاه های لیگ برتری با توجه به حساسیت دیدارهای دو هفته پایانی مخالفت هایی با این موضوع داشتند اما تقریبا اکثر باشگاه ها موافقت خود را با حضور ملی پوشان در اردوی امید اعلام داشته اند.
در این بین باشگاه نفت مسجدسلیمان با توجه به اینکه در کورس بقا در لیگ برتر قرار دارد، از فدراسیون خواسته بازیکنانش بعد از پایان لیگ به اردوی تیم امید بروند که این درخواست مورد موافقت مهدی مهدوی کیا و مسئولان فدراسیون فوتبال قرار گرفته است.

U23-Update
*-U23 training camp to start on Wed two days earlier than previously announced.
*-List to be announced tomorrow. I For qualification Mahdavi kia invited 23 players. It is wise to invite 26-27 players because of virus.
*-Mahdavi lia and his assistant to arrive before Wed.
*-According to Jabari Team manager, players and clubs has been notified.
*- No info on how many U21-23 will be included.Comment

Foulad vs Alireza Bavieh
Where is Mahdavi Kia?
During last U23 training and friendly matches, Alireza Bavieh decided to play for TM U23 and refused to accompany Foulad team in Asian cup.
Bavieh has been with TM youth teeams since age of 12 for U12, U14, U16, U19 and U23. . Unfortunately for him and other U23 players in Foulad Nekonam hardly play him. Nekonam listed Bavieh, Jalali, Hazbavi, Limouchi and Koushki for ACL game and only Koushki got opportunity to play.
Bavieh refused to join ACL game and decided to play for U23 team, a very risky decision that angered Nekonam and Garshasbi team manager.
Now on the the day that U23 new list expected to be published Garshasbi in an interview claimed Bavieh was vanished before ACL game!.
Vanished ?!
He was invited to U23 as before by Mahdavi Kia and played against Persepolis, Nasaji and Gol Gohar . so much for being Vanished.
Garshasbi on the behalf of Nekonam threatening to take action against him.
Nekonam policy of playing burned out old players in expense of talented young Foulad players is not a secret but decision to publicly criticizing Bavieh for playing for U23 team rather than being useless on Foulad bench is understandable.
Mahdavi kia should ignore Foulad"s criticism of Bavieh and support him against smear campaign. Garshassbi said they can destroy him and they have taken action against him. Nekonam had Bavieh but decided to recruit useless Gomez for ACL game but criticise Bavieh for Joining TM U23. They have no shame. Last time Houshmand refused to Join U23 was banned and fined.
