Next hurdle is Lebanon U23 on Thursday Oct 28
Our team particularly Defence line was not tested versus Nepal.
Lebanon & Tajik players are bigger, stronger and more physical and will test strength of our defence line.
Nepal was unable to create goal opportunity and in the second half coach decided to play with only 3 defenders that helped to put more pressure, created more goal opportunity for Iran.
I think it was a mistakes :
1- Not to have Houshmand for this phase ( if not possible then Shahabbasi or Janmaleki).
2- leave behind Hosseinzadeh, Sadeghi & Khodabandeloo and Akbarpour to play PGL/Azadeghan games then three of them join the rest Khodabandeloo and Sadeghi played in a very intense and competitive Zobahan-Esteghlal game then fly to Tajikistan. If they don't have enough time for recovery to play Lebanon game they won't have harmony with the rest for the last important game, We have already attending with young squad, no need to go with not full squad.
We must advance from this group to play more quality teams Korea, Japan, Australia, Saudi Arabia, Qatar , Uzbekistan...if we want to have better chance for Olympic games.

Khodabandelu, Akbarpour and Sadeghi had gone from Tehran to Istanbul and flew from istanbul to Dushanbe, tajikistan, and were added to U23team camp to use them in two matches against Lebanon and Tajikistan if the technical staff discretion.
Khodabandelo & Sadeghi Journey with all security and health protocols : Esteghlal-Zobahan match -------> Esfahan --1--> Tehran---2---> Istanbul ----3---> Dushanbe
Akbarpur : Did not play
Sadeghi : played 7 Min
Khodabandeloo : played 83 min

We saw yesterday how Lebanon U23 played their first game versus host Takikistan trying to snitch a point and hoped for a win by counter attacks.
That is how they play mostly against strong teams.
Mahdavikia keep saying he does not know aboutnLebanon U23 and that is unfortunate because as we reported here more than once and showed clips , Lebanon last month played in West Asian U23 games against Iraq, UAE, Palestine and game was streaming live from Alkas TV.
Some of games available ( full ) on youtube.
Here is how UAE & Palestine defeated them.

Mohamadi, admin manager of the U23 TM, complains that IRIB did not broadcast the Nepal match live and the Shabhayeh Footbalee guy says that they will broadcast the Lebanon match on Thursday. So far best game was today Saudi Arabia 2:2 Uzbekistan
They both will play Kuwait and Bangladesh. For group rank score against Bangla is the key and for advance of second team score against Kuwait is important , assuming both will defeat Kuwait.

Afghanistan few days ago informed AFC that is unable to go to Bahrain for the game because of security concerns in their country.
Absence of Afghan will help both Iraq and Bahrain to advance with no trouble.
Bahrain will defeat Maldives by high score tomorrow and a tie or a low score defeat against will be enough to advance in all likelihood.
