Another defender out for WCQ games
And MiMo hasn't played for a while either....
Iran deserves better, TM deserves better.

Varzesh3 reports that Hajsafi's injury is a strained muscle and he needs ten days to recover. Apparently initial reports by Greek media were exaggerations. Same report claims that IFF medical staff is already talking to AEK about his situation to coordinate his recovery. Again, its Varzesh 3 and take it with a grain of salt please.

        Go Karim!
        Go Ehsan!

Here in Holland this is a big issue, players like Hakim Ziyech (Chelsea) are entirely educated/developed by the Dutch football system, yet they choose to play for Morocco NT......
Their biggest weakness is what we capitalized on that regardless of their depth they dont have a single striker to finish.

Horrendous sports reporting in Iran as usual. Or maybe it was the Greek reporters. Either way very poor reporting.

If Hajisafi wasn't there and MiMO isn't in shape, we could always use Amiri.

Regardless I'm assuming Ehsan won't make it to the September WCQ games.
Good opportunity for them to call up Aghaei for the Syria game.

right, this should for most part remove him from participation in our next wcq coming up shortly ..? hence a legitimate opportunity for a more promising alternative to make a case for themself in TM in his absence and provide the much needed clout of doubt that our coach needs for his persistent future invites..!! and force HS to up his efforts to make himself again a key tm figure ..!

Karim on the bench, Ehsan starting for AEK Athens.

What the heck? I thought Ehsan was injured. We could've used him in our recent WCQ.

He was indeed injured. Was basically out for 10 days.

By the way, AEK had one of their most active windows ever.

Not only Ehsan, but they also Amrabat, Sergio Araujo, couple players who were regulars in Ligue 1 last year (RB and DM), plus Swiss LM Steven Zuber who was very solid in Euros.

Think they could have a solid season domestically.

Also their brand new football specific stadium will be completed in next year.

I think they are trying to challenge Olympiakos a bit more seriously as major club in greece

Glad Ehsan stayed and recovered from his injury rather than rush back and maybe if that play against Iraq...

It's clear Ehsan and Noorafkan are the two LBs for team melli for me right now

Aghaei and Milad can get their chances later, especially Milad if he finds a good club and regains form

Karim came on min 76, AEK won 3-0, great start! Hopefully Karim will be a starter again, and only sat on the bench due to just coming back from national team duty, fingers crossed.
