BTW : here is full translated article which dimarzio wrote and Fabrizio verified before also tweeting.

Sardar Azmoun is the new name for the attack of Rome by José Mourinho who seeks a reinforcement for their offensive unit ( HERE details). Iranian born in 1995, he is a striker with excellent technique and capable, in addition to scoring, of sending his team mates into goal thanks to his vision of the game and tactical intelligence. Not only goals, but also assists his teammates: Azmoun is a complete and modern striker, who can range in every corner of the offensive department.

He started playing football by chance , for the most classic of stories. But it really went like this: his main passion was for volleyball and for horses (still his favorite hobby). Then at the age of 12 a coach proposed him to be part of a football team that was recently born in Iran. He was deployed as a forward and started scoring right away . It has never stopped. At home they call him ' our Messi '. Strong comparisons that involve pressure and great expectations. After the 2018 World Cup in Russia he left his Iranian national team for a month: " I received too many insults ". Then he came back and started scoring again: he has 34 goals in 52 appearances. It is second only to Ali Daei, the true Iranian legend, still far behind at 109.

In 2016 Azmoun was very close to Lazio . Igli Tare looked for him, the negotiations advanced almost to the white smoke. Then the deal faded in the last moments and Azmoun remained in Russia. First Rostov, then Rubin Kazan and finally Zenit , where he consecrated himself: in the Russian championship Azmoun scored a total of 78 goals in 173 games . With Zenit his definitive leap in quality: Javier Ribalta takes him to St. Petersburg(the current Managing Director of Parma). Azmoun changes dimension but does not suffer from the high expectations of the ambitious Zenit. He takes a place as a starter in attack and will be decisive for the conquest of the last three victories of the Russian championship of his team, thanks to his 53 goals scored in 84 games.

Now José Mourinho has identified him as the main target for his attack . New call from Italy. Again Rome , this time on the Giallorossi side, where you can breathe an atmosphere of great enthusiasm after the arrival of the Special One. All that remains is to ride the wave. And for someone like Azmoun, a great horse lover, maybe it will be easier.

Leverkusen would be a dream destination for him. Pretty sure they will offload Alario and Azmoun >> Schick but looks like the coach is a 2 striker coach so Schick + Azmoun could be hell of a combination! They play Euro League and are always a CL contender in Bundesliga. Plus Leverkusen is next to Cologne so big Iranian community to welcome him!

Roma would be a dream come true... Leverkusen, not really a dream but better than staying in Russia. Leverkusen, although traditionally one of the top 5, top 6 clubs in Germany still a rather small club, with pretty low fanbase. Got a 30K stadium thats not even sold out in 9 out of 10 matches. Would have been a great transfer 2, 3 years ago but now Sardar deserves to play in a big club

Playing in a Top 5 Bundesliga Team means playing in top 20 in Europe. Plus he will be a star in the team. not bad i would say

If he goes Roma, Mourinho will either make him or brake him

Yes, not bad, better than staying in Russia but still... Its only Leverkusen, Sardar is 26 now and he needs to go big, because honestly he has been delivering for years now. Also lets not forget, living in Roma vs. living in those shitty cities like Duesseldorf, Koeln etc.

Italy Spain and England should always be the first choice before Bundesliga.

If the choice is between Rome and Leverkusen i reckon Rome is the better club.
