The sheer lack of interest from decent clubs is partly due to very lousy & lazy agent also.
How he is not dangled in front of all the decent clubs who look for cheap, quality buys is beyond me. The agent must be making a pest of himself with all these clubs.

But The f**k most probably sitting at home, smoking, waiting for some club ... ANY club to make an offer and he will convince Sardar that this is the right choice! and eventually pocket his agent fees! for doing exactly NOTHING.
Such shit agents need to be fired immediately.
wonder whose cousin or neighbor's nephew he is!

Love this pic. So sweet and so Iranian. Also, any other non-Iranian male national/club striker or teammate duo that have kissed each other on the field?

^ I remember all our players kissing each other at Lyon after we beat Amrica 2-1 lol. If Covid19 was going around at that time we would’ve had to start a new 11.

Haaland and vlahovic would get interest from all top teams even with haji firuz as Agent.

Azmoun is well known by world football, with all the hype from Iran messi, italian press speaking about him every summer and even top teams getting scored by him. The problem is beyond his agent

“Tu Rostov ke budam pishnahad (az Liverpool) amad valy morabbim salah nadunest.”

He had a chance to go to a big club at a young age but decided to stay in Russia for 6 more years. Those 6 years are why big clubs aren’t interested in him today. Its very simple.

It is so strange that we don’t here more about a player who has clearly said he will not renew and who is constantly proving that he is worthy of all the praise, how horrible is his agent? Or is it just being Iranian? There was more talk of him in the summer window then now.

or is it an indication that something is happening behind the scenes that is actually professional and positive?

You and I and the press don't need to know, and shouldn't know, about transfer dealings if they are really being done professionally until they are very close to done.

Keep in mind anybody who wants him as a FA only needs to negotiate with him directly so much easier to keep things under wraps and discrete.

I think you are correct. He isn’t technically allowed to discuss contract details etc for a free transfer in the Summer until Jan 1st and if a club wants to buy him next month they must really make the offer first with Zenit. Plus Sardar has constantly relayed his respect for Zenit and doesn’t want to/be seen to screw then over in anyway.

<<Atalanta, the dream is Azmoun: there is distance, a complicated operation>>

"Jeremie Boga was the first hit of the transfer market, but Atalanta does not stop there and remains vigilant in search of new opportunities to reinforce the squad available to Gian Piero Gasperini. After the purchase of the Ivorian from Sassuolo, the Nerazzurri are now working to add a new striker to the squad , a pure center forward to work alongside Duvàn Zapata. And the latest temptation is Sardar Azmoun, born in 1995 owned by Zenit St. Petersburg and expiring in June with the Russian club. Atalanta likes the Iranian very much, but the operation remains complicated for economic reasons above all. Azmoun, in fact, has offers of around 3.5 million per season, while the Nerazzurri reach a maximum ceiling of 1.8 / 2 million. It is a profile on which Atalanta could also insist, but the distance between the parties is important, perhaps even unbridgeable. The Iranian therefore remains a temptation, the true forbidden dream of the Nerazzurri transfer market but, at the same time, a difficult transfer market hit."

"The Zenit class of 1995 is at the top of Atalanta's wish list, which in the previous months even went to follow him live. The player likes Atalanta, he has acquired an international dimension that would certainly raise the level of experience and quality of the Nerazzurri attack. And Azmoun also seems to be ready for the big leap in European football, after the many seasons spent in Russia. Raised football in Iran, he reached the age of 17 in the Rubin Kazan youth academy . At 18, he made his debut in the first team in the Europa League and his first goal, in the same competition, in his second appearance against Molde. For him two important years with 32 appearances and 7 total goals, before the loan to Rostov. Here he matured as a football player, scoring 25 goals in three seasons, regaining Rubin Kazan as a protagonist. The next two years as a starter allow him to make the big leap at Zenit , where he arrives in the 2019 winter market. In almost 3 years he has already scored 61 goals for the Russian club in just 98 games , important numbers for the definitive consecration. Seasoned, among other things, by 3 championships won, 1 Cup and two Super Cups of Russia, as well as a title of top scorer and one of best player. Furthermore, at the age of 26, he has already made 60 appearances and 39 goals for the Iranian national team, from which he even retired after the 2018 World Cup due to excessive criticism received, only to rethink and return regularly to respond to the call-ups."

                        - This is per skysports Italia so quite reliable. I am unsure if the offers of 3.5mio/yr Sardar has refers to zenits renewal offer (which he already rejected) or some other new offers he has. The lyon offer from financial POV was much closer to 2mil/yr than 3.5.

Just shows his profile is indeed very interesting to strong teams on the continent, in theory he will have a decent selection to choose from, especially if he can score a few more goals in EL.

but in this case he is basically their ideal profile...No need for transfer fee, entering prime of his career, only need to worry about his wages.

In current covid market he will probably have to accept a small-medium decrease in wages to secure the best move
