Due to the structure of the deal. Genoa are ok with a loan plus 15 mil obligation next year if they can get some loan players from roma too.

Zenit want almost all of the money in cash up front right away

      yea
      That’s bs
But beside the structure of each purchase, shomordove guy can probably attained on a much lower salary !?& overall seems Roma are mostly broke !? Or working on a limited Buget this transfer season..!?
They probably broke the bank trying to get that big name coach & he has got a bunch of players who doesn’t care for & wants to offload & use the Savings for ones he prefer ..!
Tough to make proper acquisitions when in a rebuilding year under a new coach ..!

It is annoying nonetheless that such goozoo player who hasn’t yet achieved nor proved to be even half the player of sardars pedigree can fetch similar sale figures to that of sardar’s…!

Love that a few of the Leverkusen folks are trolling Zenit in English re Azmoun

The Uzbek player getting the move to Roma just shows how important playing in a big league is for these moves

For sure he would not get picked up by roma straight from Russia. Azmoun will if he wants to push for it/zenit agrees.

Also keep in mind, azmoun was their first choice, not eldor. He will be going there as a backup primarily to start

Someone on twitter mentioning a Kicker article from this morning stating ‘Interesting report from Kicker this morning, with Sardar Azmoun set to join Bayer Leverkusen, as 2022-contracted striker Lucas Alario comes under an offer of €8m+bonuses from Udinese.

Another unnamed club has submitted an offer too, with plenty of interest in him.’

Yep, here are the two kicker.de squibs. In one of them, their sports director is quoted in saying that one striker has to go in order for another to come in, so Alario leaving would help here.

Damn so looks like we may have to wait a bit longer than anticipated if they have to offload a striker first. I was hoping by this weekend it would be official but if that is the case then probably not!

What's funny is that this Italian site (has 47K followers on Twitter) says it the other way around: "Udinese has been interested in the signing of Lucas Alario but it is impossible until Leverkusen sign Sardar Azmoun. The Argentine forward's grandfather is from Udine and has an Italian passport."

So it's this whole chicken and egg thing lol....do they have to sell Alario in order for Azmoun to come, or do they have to get Azmoun in order to unload Alario

Just checked the Leverkusen fan thread and some of them are complaining that 8 milllion is too low/a steal for Udinese for Alario; it's similar to what our thoughts are re Azmoun's alleged transfer fee, but you have to consider all the factors I guess (can't look at these in a vacuum...e.g. with Alario, his contract runs out next year; he has not been a regular starter at Leverkusen, etc.)
