He has 3 games left, if he could get 3 more goals 10 goals would be a very respectable achievement.

Think he should take that maritimo extension offer. No point in going back to iran now, he is on a solid team (7th place), his overall play is improving a lot compared to when he joined, and PGPL is 5x the dump it was when he left.
God don't tell me he was considering this or there were rumors of him going back to Iran??? - Just wondering if that's the case by any chance

LOLL cuz yeah I don't see any reason at all why he would think of leaving this team, unless he gets an offer from a better team that will give him as much playing time and a situation in whic he'll maintain his confidence or increase it.

Marítimo wants to offer Alipour (and 2 other players) a contract renewal per O Jogo as it looks like they were satisfied with his performances. Hopefully, Alipour takes them up on the offer and will stay in the beautiful island of Madeira.

Yeah I really do not see him, or really any other current euro players (unless situation is super bleak like beiro), returning to iran in current state of PGPL. Clubs are broke, cannot offer salaries of past years, and level is lower than ever before. New contract with maritimo will naturally include a pay rise, he can continue his improvement and try forcing his way into TM setup, given his age its only a matter of time before him and Shahab displace Karim and Kaveh in squad lists (In KAveh's case time has already come).

And as you say it seems like he and his family are enjoying themselves. If we could just produce a few defenders and midfielders who play in portugal at the solid (not incredible, but serviceable) level he shows TM would be in much better shape.

That's a far cry from his kiss akhond ass days...

Hopefully he is learning in Europe more than just about football.

WOW! Impressive! They are qualified for Europa Conference League I think. Ricardo Soares did well with them this season.

The same account is saying that Aref Gholami is going to Braga. Who knows. Let's hope he's credible.

Gil Vicente play really nice football and are the best team outside the Big 4.

                    IRANIAN ALIPOUR WILL NOT RENEW

Alipour is at the end of his contract with Marítimo and will not renew his relationship with the island emblem.

The Iranian striker's financial demands to continue - in two seasons he played 65 games and scored just ten goals - led those responsible for the green and red SAD to discard any proposal.

Fran Navarro is a goal scoring manchine, 16 Goals in 35 matches for Gil Vicente. It would be interesting to see them competing

One thing for sure is that this would make alipoor work harder and become a better player.

I hope he does not return to Iran, he has developed in Europe and can still grow. I personally would take a pay cut to live in Portugal instead of Iran with its broken league, or a shitty Arab country.
