    ^ That is good option.

Or even he could transfer to other leagues on loan/permanent (e.g. La Liga, Serie A or Bundesliga) as well given the fact he's now Premier League player and possibly has offers from leagues he might not have had a year ago.

He has just over a season and a half on his contract left and which time he will be 29 (nearly 30) . Brentford will only offer him a one year contract after that if they offer him one - club policy to any player 29 or older (which is why Dalsgaard left).

I can see him playing in Qatar or UAE after that.

Our friend Saman currently makes £780,000 annually. The joint 5th highest earner in his team according to spotrac.

I’m talking about when he’s 30/31 years old and looking for a good payday still while getting a good opportunity to play significant minutes. He can go back to Sweden too but I think Qatar/UAE likely at that point.

yea man and Brentford barely have enough quality depth in MF (sammy included) doubtful they would loan him off, even if he asked for it, which would be a retarded request imo..!
he is arguably the highest quality and caliber AM they have at their disposal ..! ftb, he only lacks that, hard-pressing , defensive jangandegi and probably the optimal fitness and energy for it, hence lesser overall quality but Fitter MFdrs are favored often over him..!
also i dont really think that the current brentford set up have a traditional AM .... they just like to play very Direct with 3 hard-pressing and combative CMs spread across the MF and Saman could well sub for any of them across the midfield trio..!!? at least in 80-90% of their EPL games that i seen..!
last season in Championship though the middle MFdr used to push up more to join and support the front 2 winger/attackers, hence fielding a more traditional AM role..!

I don't want to jynx it but It looks like saman will get some playing time tommo against chelsea. Specially if they are goal down.

Well at least he's guaranteed a start in 12 days time against Stoke in the Carabao Cup.

Crazy idea to have Brentford v Chelsea and Fulham v QPR on the same day.

Saman is not competing with Nour. I don't know how people fail to see this.
He will never play fully CM role in TM vs half decent teams. Yeah against 3rd, 4rh rated asian teams or weaker opponents.. Maybe...
It will probably be off the winger as sub. As we don't play with CAM.
Nour may lose his spot or may not. But it is not to Saman. They are just two different players

Sarlak replacing Nour lately. At some point it will be Ali Karimi maybe. It is not like Sarlak is better than Saman.
It has been over decade we don't play with typical CAM, Masoud played few games there but experience wasn't convincing.
It is unfortunate for Saman but it is what it is.
Unfortunately he is not fast enough to start off the wingers either.

All these arguments are missing the point. Trying to see who he should replace in the lineup and in this system is not the right way to frame it.

It is idiotic to not set your lineup and system around your best players. Having a fixed formation and trying to fit players into it rather than taking the best players and finding the formation that allows them to thrive is not smart.

It's no secret Skocic is not a great coach. The only reason he is there is that he doesn't step on the toes of the federation and the rest of the system (when is the last time you saw IPL coaches criticising him as opposed to the weekly attacks on CQ).

He is also smarter than Wilmots in that he hides his inadequacies as a coach by not getting in the way of the experienced players and letting them do their thing on the field.

We have not been tested and we have also not played well under him. After every game it is the same, none of us are impressed by the performance and at this rate if we make it to the WC it will just be another group stage exit.
