I am not impressed by this guy tbh, injuries after injuries, ups and downs, too risky defensively vs some half decent teams and not that good offensively either.
Time to give some other guys like Hardani a decent chance.

دفاع راست بعد بازنشتگی کیا هیچ وقت نقطه قوت تیم ملی نشد متاسفانه. یه مدت خسرو حیدری بود، کار دفاعیش و سانتر هاش خوب بود اما بینهایت کتد.
و کار به جایی رسید که کیروش از منتظری تو جام جهانی استفاده کرد
بعد رامین رضاییان و وریا که هر کدوم کمبود های خودشون و داشتن. اما شاید در کل رامین رضاییان تا حدی تونست در دفاع و حمله اوکی باشه.
به نظر من صادق محرمی الان از همه اینها(در اوجشون) ضعیف تره و این ضعف شاید جلوی تیم های مثل سوریه، لبنان، حتی عراق و امارات به چشم نیاد، اما جلوی تیمی مثل کره کاملا مشهود بود و حتی تو باشگاش جلوی تیم های سرعتی که از فضای خالی پشت دفاع استفاده میکنن کاملا واضح بوده

در مورد LB هم همین داستانه. ما بالای دو دهه هست که یه بازیکن حتی تو کلاس درجه یک اسیا تو این منطقه نداریم.
مجتبی محرمی بود که یه سر و گردن از همه بالا تر بود، بعد جواد منافی، عالی، که زخمی شد و به فنا رفت، بعد میناوند و شاهرودی که هر دو نسبتا خوب بودن و بعدش بازیکن های زیادی مثل نصرتی، امیر حسین صادقی که جاشون اونجا نبوده و به خاطر ضعف در این منطقه اونجا بازی کردن.
سالهای اخیر هم میلاد و احسان و امیری و نور افکن که همه بالا و بایین خودشونو دارن و متاسفانه مثل سمت راست، سمت چپ هم بازیکن شیش دنگ نداریم...

Seems benching him might’ve been the wrong decision. They’ve conceded 2 goals by half time and the defense looks weak. Safety has typically performed quite well in these European matches so seems stupid to bench him

I mean, he's playing for the best team in Croatia against the 3rd to last placed team in the Croatian league, which isn't exactly a strong league, so there you go....

I mean he’s had strong performances vs the top croatian teams, strong performances last year in EL as part of best back line statistically in Europe. So I think that argument doesn’t hold a lot of water.

One thing is for sure and that is he requires a lot of time to get back into form after these injuries. Not only does he get injured badly once but then he keeps having niggles for some months afterwards, totally derailing all the progress he built up.

If he cannot stop it then he won’t move past this level, regardless of the talent he certainly has

True, but it's been 3 seasons at this club and he's struggled to find minutes, and has yet to establish himself as the undisputed starter. His recent Team Melli performances were also nothing noteworthy or impressive. I hope he succeeds but overall I think this guy is way overrated and nothing special.
