Shoja has a yellow card? I think you mean kanani zadegan instead? And yes I agree they should be rested . Kanani , azmoun and Torabi should be rested.

But... watch how they will be in the line and hajsafi being rested

I think it's good that we all understand how exactly the process works. Based on the below link from IFF, the results against 5th place teams are not discounted for anyone until all the matches are played. At that point and only at that point the 2nd and 5th teams are taken out and the second place teams results are modified by the way of discounting the matches against the 5th place teams ONLY for determining the top 4 second place teams that will make it to the next round. So, the results against the 5th place teams are counted for determining the ranking before finding out which 2nd place teams will make it to the next round. This also means that for ranking 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th places, results against the 5th place teams of the groups matter and are counted. So, TM has to go into the match against Cambodia fully prepared to win. Of course, the technical team could start many players who are used as subs or did not play at all to rest the others for Iraq match, yet we should go in to win and score as many times as possible.

Here is the link (sorry its in Farsi or Persian as some of us would prefer and if you don't read Farsi then I have translated the main points above): http://ffiri.ir/fa/news/8279/%D8%B3%...82%D8%B7%D8%B1

      Go TM!
The only way this matter is if Iran does not win against Cambodia, As Cambodia will finish last no matter what, therefore the score does not matter as long as is a win for Iran.

Does anyone know why on the last matchday next tuesday the games aren't played simultaneously? That's a bigtime disadvantage for us as we are early to play. It is frustrating how easy the AFC can break all rules of competition and fair play and there is no one to intervene.

They are played at the same time. Go to https://www.the-afc.com/competitions...-cup/fixtures/ and scroll down clicking on "more" until you get to Group C upcoming matches. I agree that AFC is full of it, yet facts are facts.

            Go TM!

Former Iraqi Coach praises TM and said, that Iraq needs to defeat Hong Kong to secure their spot for the second round, even if they loose their final game to Iran.
Is that an accurate suggestion? If Iraq defeats Hong Kong they would top the group with 17p, so does that guarantee them qualification for the next round, regardless of the outcome in the Iran Game?

If this is the case, than Iraqis will have less pressure going into the final game against Iran (IF they happen to defeat HK), which could give them a slide mental advantage. Of course they are not going to field their B-Team even if they made it already to the next round by them, given the heated rivalry.

11pts in the second place table should be enough for them but be asured they do everything to screw us so no way they play us lighthearted

After our game on Friday, we will be officially on top of the table at least for 90 minutes. If Iraq ties HK, then our place is firmed.

                      Some people here are naive.

Even if Fifa unilaterally awarded the World cup to Iraq after beating Hong Kong, they will still come and play us like beating us is a matter of life and death with a consequence of the balkanization of Iraq.

Iraq is benefitting from the fact, that they had their home game against Hong Kong (and Bahrain !) and play them now in a neutral ground ( which is still closer to Iraqs usual climate/environment). Unlike TM they don't have to fly across Asia to face them in Hong Kong.

Really bold how AFC did everything in their power to support Bahrain and Iraq in this.

As far as i can tell, no one have claimed here, that Iraq will take it lightly if they defeat HK...

"Less pressure" etc. Regardless of the standings Iraq is going to play us at 110% 100% of the time and we should always return that favor

"Less pressure" so what? I stated : "If this is the case, than Iraqis will have less pressure going into the final game against Iran (IF they happen to defeat HK), which could give them a slide mental advantage. Am I naive now or you just to lazy to read my comment until the end?

They also benefiting from the fact that all their games are scheduled in Al Muharraq stadium including ours.

I hope fifa.com has the updated and right venue for our game otherwise playing in crappy Al Muharraq stadium is not gonna be great for us.

AFC is a joke ! Both country doesn't wanna play in Al Muharraq stadium , but they some how ignore it and force it on us! Its our home game too!
