Wasn't it announced previously that they won't overturn AFC's decision to move the games to Bahrain?

5-day postponement of Iran's complaint hearing from AFC/ CAS court opposes AFC's second request
Football News - The afc's complaint hearing was postponed for another five days.

The hearing was scheduled to take place today when the Iranian Federation's complaint against the ASIAN Football Confederation was scheduled to take place today because Bahrain was selected as the host of the World Cup qualifiers, but the hearing was also postponed, according to Football and Fars.

The AFC sent a letter to the CAS court two days ago asking for a five-day opportunity to present documentation, and the Sports Arbitration Court has agreed to the AFC's demand.

Of course, the AFC has made another request to the CAS court and has requested that the case be investigated in the presence of an arbitrator, which appears to have been rejected by the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

The Iranian Football Federation has also opposed the AFC's request to hold a court with three arbitrators, a referee from the Iranian Federation, an AFC referee and an impartial arbitrator on behalf of the CAS court to review the case.

The Federation has today sent legal letters and explanations to the Court of Arbitration for Sport over the next five days.

I am not sure about the significance of today. CAS did not agree to the temporary injunction a couple of weeks ago. That basically meant that the matches will go on. The normal process for the complaint is in effect and could take months. As far as the matches are concerned, it is now a moot point yet IFF is still pursuing this to show that AFC GC violated the boundaries of its own roles and responsibilities when it gave the hosting of remaining WC 2022 qualifiers group C matches to Bahrain.

^yeah you are right about that

But still good that they pursue it.

Cant they make a complaint about players sequrity relating COVID-situation in Bahrain getting worse, and get the games moved?
It shouldt be impossible right? (im not an attorney but i have a memory that this has happened before?)'

Anywayz, i expect the games to be played but would be nice to get them moved away from bahrain

Seems like AFC has asked for additional 5 days to complete its documentation and finding...so decision will be postponed till next week.

^ This is a hearing as part of the normal process. The whole process will take months and that makes changing the location of the matches while we only have 17 days before the first Group C match day of June 3, 2021 practically improbable. The location of matches in June are no longer in question. Sorry dadash but it is what it is regardless of what all of us think or feel about the whole fraud-infested AFC GC.

It’s a shame that the glacial AFC/FIFA/CAS system can’t respond urgently, even to things like skyrocketing COVID cases in Bahrain, or the 100’ F temps in Bahrain. Our players’ health and careers are literally at stake here.

Its very smart by AFC. They knew they probably don't have a strong case, but if they can just get enough delays to avoid any actual punishment, they win by default.

Yes diz jaan I agree. I can only say and hope that what won't kills us will make us stronger (kind of quoting Kelly Clarkson ).

I dont know why we are surprised.
                              disappointed? yes.
but shocked or surprised? we shd not be.

                              ask yourselves this:
today, wherever you are in the world, if you mention IRAN, even in a sporting context, what's the first thing any non-Iranian thinks of?
                              would it be Ali Daei?
                              wrestling?
                              ali karimi?
                              Rezazadeh?
                              Volleyball?
                              Takhti?
                              NO.
It is Mullahs, khamenei, war, terrorism.
yes, even in the most non-political, even sporting gathering/discussion.
so why are we surprised to see the world try to give us the shaft and f**k us over?

especially when we have NO FRIENDS ( we have the unique distinction of being THE ONLY major country that has ZERO friends. Only hangers-on, leaches and users. None of whom are "friends")
Nobody will defend our case. It's all too easy to f**k Iran's case over, as there is no fear of reprisal or push to overturn from reputed, respected members of community (sporting or political or otherwise).
