Literally any club in the PGPL would have been way better than playing for this amateur club in an amateur league. Just because you play for a club somewhere in Europe it doesn't mean that it is automatically better than playing in Iran. Let's hope he finds a decent club after his contract expires, but i doubt it. His only chance is to find a decent club in Iran where he is known, hope he moves to Perspolis. Foolad or Sanat Naft are also good options for him.

His actions show that he has limited desire to play in PGPL. He is better than this league but he is gaining experience of playing in another country with different culture etc which will be great experience for him.
From what others have said on here, this is a short term plan. Will be interesting to see what comes about in the Summer - his options were limited to do with old contract and not having time to register as a clubs players so he has taken what he can. Shows initiative.

Hope its not another moghanlou situation

Sounds of desperation from the agent to place him at a bottom placed slovak club

          wishing him the best nonetheless

If you know Salimi, you'd know he's one of the most professional guys in Iranian football. He has everything you want attitude-wise and he's a good defender.

He deserves a good club in the summer.

Hopefully he can use this opportunity to move to a better European league, I still think leaving Iran was the right choice.

Iman Salimi hasn't been in the squad for 4 consecutive games. Is he injured?

Salimi is a player who has been under the radar since the strange saga that brought him to Slovakia earlier this year (when Tractor made life difficult for him). He didn't get much playing time due to injury, but is now back in Iran and evaluating his situation. His options appear to be either stay in Iran, or explore interest in Portugal and Austria, as per this interview with him. He's a free agent, so hopefully he can make the right choice and head to Europe!:

Iman is a very good kid. Overall a genuine professional and solid defender. However unfortunately he wasn't managed properly by his previous agents. Now he's with a good agent based in Austria and hopefully he can start the season off somewhere decent.

People argued with me when i said that playing in Slovakia is useless and said that it would serve as a stepping stone to a better league lol. He just wasted his time in Slovakia, even playing in Azadegan was better, higher level and he could get scouted by an IPL club.

Iranian players should not bother going to these amateur leagues even if they are in mighty Europe.
