    JAFAR SALMANI HAS ARRIVED

Jafar Salmani, 23, is already in the Algarve to reinforce Portimonense in January.

The Iranian midfielder who played for the Sanat Naft Abadan was supposed to be enrolled until October, when he closed the first transfer window, but bureaucratic issues delayed that purpose.

Arrive now and you will have a month of adaptation to the club and a new reality, before it can be used. Under-23 international for Iran, Salmani was trained by Paulo Sérgio during the 2018/2019 season in Iran.

    Comments:

Paulo Sérgio did his job with competence, identified in the pre-season where the team had more needs. So there needs should have been met soon. Maybe this way, this SAD was doing a more relaxed championship...
He is an excellent player. One of the most promising Iranian footballers. It can have an immediate impact, unlike Safawi. He has the advantage of being well known to Paulo Sérgio, who trained him in Iran. It is also an advantage for him to arrive now, as he will have a month to adapt to the new reality.
Cool, I know he is a player who makes the entire left aisle, precisely where the team is weaker in both defensive and offensive levels, so this is good news. I hope that in January I can play the title.

If he plays LB for them, we may finally have a competent back up for Milad. If Skočić is going to stick with a back 3, he's also very capable of playing LWB. This is a very important move for TM.

Great news. If I am not mistaken the coach used to be at Sanateh Naft that's how he got the contact and referral.

        Go Salmani!

Is this guy any good further up the pitch ..!?
Cause as defensively solid Milad is on LB, he is equally or more so hopeless attacking the LW slot..!

he played for Omid as a regular offensive LW. I think recently (past 6 months) SNA used him as LWB/LB. From what I saw his dribbling and speed and stronger attributes. So maybe we can say opposite of milad in terms of raw skillset (obv milad is far superior in every category pretty much right now).

Its good for him to be with his ex coach who is a well respected trainer for young guys. Portimonense also have a few Japanese NT players on their team. They are as fan comment above said lacking on LW/LB spots and are actually playing right sided players there curently, so he could find good mins.

His biggest weaknesses will probably be standard for iranian youngster in europe. Physical capability, defensive awareness. IF he can work on those quickly then his natural ability is good enough to make an impact.

It seems that Keisuke Honda will be Jafar Salmani's teammate as well as he seeks a return back to European football from Brazil. (Honda is also the coach of our WCQ opponents Cambodia, but I'm sure you already knew that.)

                    KEISUKE HONDA APPOINTED TO PORTIMONENSE

According to the Japanese press, Keisuke Honda is one of Portimonense's targets for the market reopening. The 34-year-old Japanese midfielder is looking to leave Botafogo and welcomes a return to Europe.

The Japanese version of Yahoo even speaks of a first approach by those in charge in the Algarve that will have had a positive response. Honda seeks to secure a place in the Olympic team for the Tokyo Olympics and believes it will be closer to that goal in European football.

A graduate of Nagoya Grampus, Keisuke Honde arrived in Europe in 2007 to play for the Dutch at VVV-Venlo. Stages followed by CSKA Moscow (Russia), Milan (Italy), Pachuca (Mexico), Melbourne Victory (Australia), Vitesse (Netherlands) and Botafogo (Brazil), a club which he scored three goals in 24 games in this season. time.

                      Jafar Salmani ready for January

Everything points to that the Iranian winger can already count in the first game of 2021

                      Extreme has arrived
Iranian winger Jafar Salmani (ex-Sanat Naft), reinforced by Portimonense last September, for three seasons, will be enrolled in January and everything points to him being able to enter the accounts in the first game of 2021, against neighbor Farense.

Salmani has been in Portimão for about 15 days in the setting-up phase and, having completed the medical examinations and all procedures related to Covid-19, he should join the group at the orders of trainer Paulo Sérgio as soon as next week.

Salmani is, moreover, an old acquaintance of Paulo Sérgio, who guided the winger when he passed by the Iranians of Sanat Naft, in 2018/19.

The reinforcements in the winter market will not stop there and it is certain that more new faces will arrive, especially for the midfield, a sector where gaps had already been detected in the pre-season, aggravated in the meantime by the prolonged injuries of Lucas Fernandes and Pedro Sá.

Players who had been little used are having more opportunities, due to the circumstances, and Paulo Sérgio highlights the good performances of Luquinha, “a kid with a brutal talent, who thinks faster and anticipates the game situations, revealing quality in the moment decision ”.

The coach guarantees that Luquinha "will be a serious case, for the football he shows, for his humility, and for having a long future, at the age of 20".

                        JAFAR SALMANI UNTIL JUNE 2023

Jafar Salmani, 23, forward (left winger) / defense (left winger), is a Portimonense player until June 2023.

Salmani is a well-known player from Paulo Sérgio. He was trained by him in 2018/2019, when he was the technical manager of the Iranians at Sanat Naft.

The Iranian player, an under-23 international for his country, participated in three Asian qualifying games for the world cup.

The welcome to the new black-and-white reinforcement was given by Rodiney Sampaio, chairman of the SAD board of directors.

excited to see what he can do. Sometimes our most under the radar players end up becoming some of our best.

Lets not forget, milad enterred europe through a trial at sturm graz and the Tajik Akhmat coach they played in a friendly noticed him and offered him a contract. At the time milad was a bench player at rah ahan!

Hoping this kid can produce a similar surprise.
