Iran Captain Hajsafi Linked with Esteghlal: Report
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran national football team captain Ehsan Hajsafi has been linked with a move to Esteghlal.
Media reports suggest that the 32-year-old player has caught the eye of the Iran league leader.

Hajsafi currently plays for Greek football team AEK Athens.

He started his playing career in Sepahan in 2006 and has also played for Greek teams Panionios and Olympiacos, Iran’s Tractor and German club FSV Frankfurt.

It would be weird to see him in another IPL jersey besides Sepahan. He's one of those loyal guys.

we don't cooperate with some intermediaries because of negative records
steely: national team preparation plan to be announced soon
iran's national football team manager believes that bringing charges based on speculation about procurement games will not help iran's national football team.
according to the official website of the football federation hamid steely, the manager of iran's national football team regarding the process of pursuing the national team's friendly matches before the world cup said: after meeting with lebanon, the initial consultations for holding friendly games were on the agenda of the federation, however, and given that many countries had already started the necessary measures in this regard, it is possible it had talks and correspondence in the last year, which had not been done. in any case, after the world cup draw in doha, good talks and meetings took place in this regard, and i can say that in coordination with the international affairs of the federation, some members of the board of directors, executive staff and coordination of the technical staff have been continuously followed this process and negotiations and correspondence have been conducted with numerous countries from different continents. in fact, everyone is trying to make the best decision and choice possible in these special situations.
steely added: "we could have chosen two methods, playing the desired games in the countries of the region, including qatar or traveling to other countries and regions, each of which had disadvantages and benefits. finally, due to the set of conditions of these two decisions and the options available for the procurement games, we are discussing. naturally, there are several suggestions from companies and intermediaries that the football federation reviews the backgrounds and backgrounds of these intermediaries, and some of these cases are not a good option for cooperation due to their negative records. in other cases, by reviewing the set of technical conditions, the possibility of playing more useful and better games as well as other requirements and topics will be decided.
the manager of the national team said that due to all the issues and issues raised soon and after the finalization of the plans about the details of the upcoming national team camps, especially the june camp, the necessary information will be provided. of course, we should also point out that the full calendar of european countries and some other factors and reasons as well as the compactness of the game schedule of some other countries has made our work very hard and concerns about the quality of preparation of the national team, including the proper camps and having friendly meetings, is logical, but accusations based on some speculations do not help the national team and more. football friends and people are worried about this.what is certain is that the national team officials and the football federation together will try to set the best and most useful preparation program possible and in this way we will pay special attention to all aspects of the matter and eliminate possible margins.
Where is the head coach and what the hell is his role and say in all of this b.s.????

Comparing to how CQ was managing the show, this is very concerning! There is no magic in this. No proper preparation plan and execution, means we will be torn apart in World Cup by the teams we are in the same group with.

It's already destroyed, for generations to come - from highest drug addiction rate in the world to the insane trauma that cannot be shaken and will be passed down etc.

All we want is just a good prep plan for our Team Melli. Now our biggest hope is for the Qatar FA to come and save us. Imagine a country as big and beautiful and historic as Iran is waiting for a small Persian Gulf Arab country to come save them!

This is how far we damn fell.

He left a few days ago - what did he do before then? We are like 28 weeks away from the World Cup.

He left 4-5 weeks ago and before that he was saying we need a good prepartion. Regardless of that Its not the coach job to organize camps and friendlies. CQ did it damesh garm but don't expect a coach who has the weakest contract on this planet to do the same.

He left April 26/27 man. OK, he is getting surgery, that's fine. But that's only past couple of days. He can be in Europe, go watch some of your legionnaires. He wasn't even there for the Hazfi finals. CQ masterfully used the media to secure 10 FRIENDLIES (in our last campaign) and we need a coach like that in IR Iran otherwise the IFF is complacent with no pressure.

But he has a large stake in this success, is he pushing IRIFF? Has he gone to the media and said I am not happy with this and I demand the IRIFF help with securing friendlies. Problem is, he knows he's on finicky ice (as the near Ralf Rangnick appointment, had Azizi Khadem stayed, indicates). It's not his job, of course, but that's how things work in IR Iran. Everyone is so koon-goshad you have to do this.

No sir. CQ would have had the mullahs and US sign the nuclear deal already and would have caused sanctions to be lifted or better yet, he would have had the people in the street to kick out the mullah's... That is what a real coach does!!! It is a coach's responsibility to organize the country, get rid of corruption, instill proper values in a culture, etc... Lots of sarcasm there for the sarcasm blind people.

But seriously, CQ did a lot more than what a coach needed to do and mullah's did not like it. That is mostly why they got rid of him. And mullahs are on high alert to make sure that any new coach only does coaching and does not step outside his boundary. It may be in the new coach's contract that they shall not publicly put down IFF or IR, etc... we don't know...

One thing that I have noticed is that our players have taken over the public shaming job. And they are very coordinated. ARJ, Karim, Sardar and Taremi may put out the exact same message within an hour on their IG and I would not be surprised if it is coordinated by Skocic/Hashemian/Bagheri. The kits being washed and reused comes to mind. The "it is time to concentrate on a good preparation and friendly games" message right after we qualified also comes to mind.
