They're also missing Ali Adnan who's one of, if not their best player and captain. A few more starters like Safaa Hadi are also missing. They're practically gonna field their B team at this point lol

I wouldn’t be surprised if there are more positive tests in TM camp if Ghaedi has it and trained with the team.

Safa hasn't played for them for a while now. He's been dropped because of poor form. Ali Adnan - it would be an advantage to us if he played lol. He's that bad, fat and slow.

Regardless, they have 8 players out with covid. That's a huge chunk sum.

With our depth, it should hurt them more than it hurts us.

With full respect, our midfield is much more preserved than theirs and our remaining strikers have played against much better defenders than the remaining ones Iraq has. In the case of Iraq's midfield most of their options have less than ten caps ans one set to start tomorrow is an 18 yr old academy player.

Even a midfield as eclectic as Sarlak, Ezatolahi, Amiri, and Jahanbakhsh should be able to dictate tempo. If Ghoddos players even better.

We have trouble vs Iraq for multiple reasons and might not win but at the very least, not being able to dominate possession and create chances tomorrow will be disappointing either way.

No excuse for Ghaedi and HajiTorabi either. If they can stomp Al Quwa Al Juwiya in ACL they can stomp the same player for TM.

best case right now with ghaedi positive is that most players test negative ahead of the game and then they prob will be positive after the game. this is nuts playing under these conditions to decide which team gets to play in world cup. how many players will iraq and iran have in their next games?

Hopefully most will be back if AFC moved to the 5 day quarantine (rather than the previous 10).

We'll be fine, this is a great opportunity to FINALLY start playing tactics that we'd play at the World Cup.

Zahedi, Sayyadmanesh, Rezaei, or even Ghoddos up front would be great.

So far the few non iranians seem more positive about it. Don't know why they used the name majid instead or merooj

Really hope Covid doesn’t effect the actual World Cup like this. Would suck to have to worry about our key players missing such huge games

It may be similar to the Olympics. Once patients arrive and test negative, they should be kept isolated from fans/sight seeing/etc, until they are eliminated from the tournament. Worked well in Toyko Olympics.
