Eyval, look where a good passionate and professional coaching can bring us! In 7-8 years onder King Q. we developed a huge amount of players, even goalkeepers, who play their trade throughout Europe.

Just imagine where Iran would stand if we could develop open and free in any segment of life.

      Conceicao on Taremi - https://maisfutebol.iol.pt/fc-porto/...a-que-tem-hoje
      (Translation of article)

FC Porto coach says he decided on the «best time» for the Iranian to reach the starting eleven regularly

Five consecutive games as a starter and four goals in the last three games, resulting from two encore. In recent weeks, Mehdi Taremi has been asserting himself as a starter in the options of FC Porto's coach, Sérgio Conceição, after an early part of the season when this did not happen with the current frequency. The coach of the FC Porto defended that this evolution in the use of the Iranian met the "best moment", since the adaptation to the new club and to the ideas

Taremi had his normal trajectory, an adaptation period and an important thing, which was to feel that in Rio Ave things were different in terms of the game, the way he was on the field, when the team had and had no ball - and I am not saying that Taremi has to walk the central defense, but there is organization - in a process that he needed to understand in order to, in his added value, in the last third, be a decisive player, who could be a regular player. And I'm not just talking about goals, ”said Conceição, this Monday, at the press conference ahead of the game against Nacional, in Choupana, for the round of 16 of the Portuguese Cup.

This period when he was even a little sadder - it was a different reality - was important, despite the external pressure that Taremi had to play. Maybe if he played at the time, he didn't have the consistency he has today. As I work with him every day, I have to decide the best time for Taremi to assume that title. It has little influence, or nothing at all, on everything that comes from outside, which is not the case in training, ”he concluded.

In 2020/2021, Taremi takes eight goals in 20 official games played by the blue and white club. He was nine times starting, 11 substitutes used and counts a total of 865 minutes.

Does anyone have a high quality version of the Taremi photo where he looks like the Bundesliga logo?

Pjam jan, if the good players that we have now are thanks to "king Q" then which Iranian coach wqsa responsible for Daei, Aziz, Bagheri, Mahdavikia, Abedzadeh, Minavand, Karimi, Nekounam, Rezaei, Khakpour etc. cause we really need to bring that emperor back.

A national coach is neither responsible for talent nor the skills of players. Talent is, well, god given and skills are built at youth levels which almost non of the current Iranian players including our stars have (at least not the basic skills such as passing, shooting, crossing, tackling, stopping/receiving the ball etc. on a professional level).

At best a national coach can form a team from individuals (which Q did), can make sure that players are passionate and give their all (which Q did and perhaps a bit too much which hurt us on some occasions), select the best best players without playing games (which Q did unlike Daei for example) select the best tactics and game plan per match (which Q did more or less, although we more or less focused on defense all the time despite the game or the opponent) and stimulate the players to develop by going to European clubs instead of easy money in Qatar (which Q did as well).

You can give Q a lot of credit and you should.......but our players and keepers are not good because of him.......at best you can say that he stimulated the players to want to play in Europe (even shitty leagues like Netherlands, Belgium, Turkey, Greece) instead of playing for even shittier leagues like Qataer and UAE.

^^ Babak jaan, true, its not all that black & white. But Q. did develop our players (not only in quality but also in mindset) in a way nobody has done before and that within IR occupation.

If Daei, Aziz, Bagheri, Mahdavikia, Abedzadeh, Minavand, Karimi, Nekounam, Rezaei, Khakpour etc. had a coach like CQ back then.....be khoda terekundebudim.
IRI's politics is no different than handling a pressure cooker ..... As the pressure builds up, you slowly let the steam out just a tad bit so that you don't see overflow, and once the pressure from below is less, you put the lid down again and raise the temperature.

^ How many penalties a player wins should become part of official FIFA statistics and they should call it Taremi data point!

                        Go Mehdi!

Looks like the main lineup aside from Marchesin, Marega, and Otavio. Should be a good game and with a win, they’d move onto the Quarterfinal

He contributes so much in other areas of the pitch besides leading the line, which makes it very hard for Sc to drop him to bench for a well deserved rest once in a while ..!
I hope he doesn’t pick up an injury..!, especially in the run up to CL action resumption..!
