Looks like Saman to Brentford will be announced today.

A very solid move as the level of play in the Championship is much better than Ligue 2. Will also allow him to fight for promotion to EPL/attract interest from other top league European clubs.
We are currently witnessing a revolution in Iranian football. Team Melli has never been stronger than it is today, and we will only get better.

I hope he left France for the UK already to get a head start on the quarantine... otherwise he would have to wait 14 days before he can even have his first training session.

Come onnnnnn Brentford get your guy!!! The suspense is killing me....he will be such a great fit there. I read on twitter from some ppl that he’s on his way to England but they didn’t seem like trust worthy tweets so I’ll take it with a grain of salt.

Brentford just announced that someone on their B team has tested positive for COVID. They have to quarantine any other players/staff that were in contact with the player. All of this on the day of a Cup Match.

Since they have this fire to deal with - doubt they announce Ghoddos today.

Maybe this is why he wasn’t in the match day squad last weekend.

No idea on quarantine etc , wonder if he may get special compensation as some other sports people have got.
Brentford are playing West Brom in the League Cup next week on the 22nd September, hopefully if he isn’t quarantining he may be ready for that game.

Brentford beat Southampton 2-0 away tonight in the cup and it was full strength Southampton.

highlights from brentford southampton. For reference this was the 11th placed team in PL last year led by astute ex leipzig coach ralph hassenhutl. they were playing with every starter (ings, bertrand, redmond, romeu, bednarek, etc) vs a brentford team that can be described as their B team at best, missing several regular players. Still they held their own and created probably the best chances in the match and got a 2-0 win.

They did not have a ton of the ball but retained a very dangerous edge on the counter and their second goal especially was smartly set up. That is the type of smart linkup play amiens really have none of at all for him to enjoy.

Think that this west london club will be a perfect fit for saman. He will be a main man like in ostersunds, amiens, but surrounded by a much better supporting cast and smart coaching staff, management fighting for a big goal. Im excited to see what he can do with their other offensive talents.

Unlike most of our players I doubt he will have much trouble playing in championship or adapting to english football. He was a product of swedish system and brentford have heavy scandinavian indluence in the team (Captain Pontuss jannson from sweden, regular in NT, 5 danish guys, 1 finnish CF). He was also product of lower league, physical football and built his reputation in smaller swedish teams who were often punching above their weight. He can speak english well and has good experience from a physical ligue 1 too where he showed he can perform very well even vs the top teams, regardless of the medicore parts and coaching surrounding him (think of his performances vs marseille, lille, psg, etc)

Telegraph UK reporting that Ghoddos passed his medicals and it will be a loan-to-buy type deal: https://t.co/z5Zi3Ppka7?amp=1

Telegraph is as legit as it gets when it comes to a source.

Waiting for club to announce it now.

If Ghoddos has changed his name to Martinez, then yes, he has passed his medical at Aston Villa.
