              It's not the first time that they have asked an Iranian player to their national team. I remember Kiyan Soltanpour (Former Dortmund player) was invited to their national team. Not sure if he ever played though.

                tbf, he was born in germany and was half iranian half azeri so its fair game

                              Hello everyone, can we please calm down . Ali Ghorbani is Iranian who played in Iran for years. Let's stop being sour for a minute and be proud that he's reached the national team of Azarbaijan. Seemingly, he wasn't good enough for Iran's TM. Thank you
