No. The issue is US sanctions, not Nike (though Nike was happy to capitulate). In addition, the same would apply to all major brands of sportswear (addidas, puma, etc). The US economic sanctions are a hammer that indiscriminately affects all Iranian, not just IR.

They could/should paint over the swoosh on their boots ... especially during the WC. ..!
However they won’t be able to do anything about their nike club jerseys as the sponsorship is with the club not player & clubs own their asss

    YES. Look at my signature!!

If they are under the obligation of the club (on their club jersey), that's ok since they cannot do anything about it. BUT, they should not accept a contract from Nike, and if they want to wear the shoes due to personal preference, they should paint over the logo. They should even go further and diss Nike at any chance they get. Nike did not have to make an announcement before the WC. They chose to jump on the bandwagon to endear themselves to the f**tards, including the orange baboon.

The reason some minorities are successful in stamping out prejudiced against them, is that they will jump on even the slightest transgression against them. Yet, we as ex-pats, are busy tearing down people who are standing up for our rights; e.g. NIAC and alike.
