Persepolis wasted too many chances in the box. Its a shame they don't bring on one of the young players rather than these old unacomplished bench players

PP didnt play too bad but killed themselves with player selection in forward line. Ramezani is a useless lamppost and Alekasir is not cut out for this higher level either.

Would have preferred to see Abdi Qara given a chance, or Arya Barzegar both of him have tons of talent, speed, and variability in their game. If PP wanted to sign domestic forwards the lightning fast, super physical and only 17y/o Alireza Monazami would have been a far better option than somebody like Ramezani.

hunger there for sure. No creativity and what can you expect when torabi, alipour, etc leave and only subpar replacements come in.

Bad management by PP not investing in some exciting younger players to replace them.

GOOD NEWS from sepahan game yasin salmani, 18 years old Central Midfielder is starting vs Al Ain. He is captain of u17 team recently I think and is probably the most highly rated young CM coming through our youth ranks, maybe with ghobeishavi and sharifi.

I think its telling watching bits and pieces of PP and Sepahan game today that our football has a serious problem in terms of building play, line breaking passes, turning under pressure, etc. i.e the development of play through the midfield with the use of intelligent midfield players. They are not "roo be jelo" at all.

Overall physical levels of players has improved and there is better defensive structure as a whole which is positive. But there really needs to be a sit down between coaches, IFF, advisors, etc and figure out how we can improve this aspect of our football as a whole.

Have a feeling none of our teams will make the next round lol. Padidehs been out Sepahan is out and Esteghlal needs to beat Al Ahli 2-0 or more and Persepolis needs to play a in form Sharjah. Hope they prove me wrong
