On the contrary , last January he wanted to make the move to Wolves but they wanted to have the option to buy after the end of a 6 month loan which didn’t suit Rubin Kazan as they needed the cash so sold him to Zenit when they offered a straight transfer (which worked out to be a great move for him)

Also if someone matches Zenit value of him, which I believe is around 30 million then they will sell him.

azmoun himself has said countless times his dream/ goal is to play in the biggest leagues, and teams.

He said his dream is to play in bundesliga, another time mentioned his admiration for PL.

But, he is not retarded, and unlike ARJ is on a very solid team already winning trophies and playing European football regularly (and actually competing unlike AZ). He will not move for a crappy midtable team. At this point such teams cant afford his 25-30 mil EU pricetag anyways (which zenit have by all russian accounts set on him). They are open to idea of selling him for such a fee in the summer, especially with the imminent return of Kokorin who they rate highly as a ready made replacement, meaning they can reinvest sardar sum in other parts of team and still make good profit overall.

I am sure he will get some good offers in the summer from top 4-6 teams in the top 4 leagues.

As people have mentioned : Dortmund, Leipzig (who seem to have missed out on haaland), gladbach, leverkusen, valencia, sevilla, roma, lazio type teams are logical and attainable next steps. Dortmund, Lazio, Leverkusen have all been linked to him by russian medias this season and in previous seasons heavily.

His performances in the first half of the season have demonstrated a big improvement in his hold up play, playmaking skills vs strong opposition, and his goal + assists tally is very good and speaks for itself. Historically he performs much better after the winter break. If he breaks 20 goals, 10 assists this season in all comps those are excellent stats worthy of a big move. He is already quite close with 11 goals and 7 assists.

It does, however, I personally prefer Hertha Berlin because as you mentioned in the other thread they have a good project going on and are looking to spend big money.

Another team that I would like Majid to go to is Sheffield United. I know this opinion won’t be too popular here but they are looking for a new CB as they plan to sell their Irish CB Jon Egan to Everton leaving a vacancy in that position and also the fact he would be playing under Chris Wilder who in my opinion is a great manager as his results and league table position have shown.

The way Wilder plays his centre backs is almost as wing backs, hence why they have had a few goals and assists between them.

200m investments over the next two transfer windows for Berlin actually. Gotze, Draxler, Xhaxa, Weigl, and Wanyama are the other players linked. Xhaxa will happen this winter as the player has agreed to join, transfer fee is the only thing waiting. We will likely sell gotze as he doesn't play and won't renew because of that, not sure if Berlin or Inter will get him, or he ends up somewhere else. They need a better coach than Klinsman to make it work though. Their gk situation is actually pretty bad, not sure why aren't pushing for anything there.

Regardless, If majid can go to a good team where he plays 60+% of the time I will be happy.

I hope that Zaha is staying if Azmoun goes there because he's their main player and he'd be very good for Azmoun, but I doubt it as it may seem they'd be getting Azmoun through raised funds from sale of Zaha [emoji58]

Hell no. I hope this is just a rumor. Azmoun deserves wayyy better than Crystal Palace

This would be a decent move for him. He may get more playing time at CP over a large club.

Would make the M23 derby interesting for us I suppose...

I just don't want to see our best player ruined in the same way our most hard working and likeable player has been..

I think Azmoun has a lot of good physical traits for the premier league in terms of sheer speed and aerial ability but I have seen him struggle badly against CB's that are overly physical and who keep a close eye on him. The games against RB Leipzig come to mind where i think it was Upamecano who marked him really tightly and just shut him down that entire series.

I'm not sure if CP is the right choice, I personally would prefer Bundesliga where he can get some goals under his belt in a high-scoring league while improving his stamina and certain elements of his technique (specifically dribbling and long range shooting). Maybe after a season or two at a team like Leverkusen/Dortmund/RBL/Schalke if he does well enough that would be the right time for a PL move at around the age of 27.

I think the expectations on him as a replacement for Zaha would be excessive at CP. Zaha is an exceptional player, he has many similar traits as azmoun in addition to great dribbling ability and physical strength.

Crystal palace would be an awful career step. No CL/EL. Just for what, to play in an overrated league?
