this supposedly terrible team he joined are now third place (Europa League qualification spot). Meanwhile our resident TM right back ramin is playing for Al shahania, who havent won ONE match yet in qatar league. They have played 10 games, WON ZERO. Most of the time ramin is lining up as a RW, plus he has been terrible for TM.

Whatever you think of this moharrami, there is no doubting he has strong technique and offensive capabilities, is a young player, and playing in an environment that is far more competitive and development oriented than qatar. At the very least he deserves to be called up and get game time like CQ was giving him so we at least see how viable of an alternative he is. I really dont see how anybody could be so against that. Its pretty much impossible that he will be worse than ramin, and he is 7 years younger.

He is so much better than rezaeian it hurts to see this guy constantly being ignored. His injury he picked up prior to the AC was a real disappointment I know CQ was planning on using him

ramin is a huge defensive liability. So much so we had to have a winger and a midfielder and a center back holding his hand at all times during WC so he wouldnt get exposed. He excelled in that system. Moving forward we are unlikely to adopt such tactics for most opposition, and thus he becomes a total liability.

Moharrami also has problems defensively, but from what I can see is not defensively inferior to ramin at LEAST.

Offensively, its not even close. One has the technique and dribbling ability, balance, and poise of a full back brought up in europe and the other one can hardly trap a ball without tripping over himself. Rezaeians crossing has gotten progressively worse and he makes up for his clear lack of technical and offensive abilities by positioning himself so damn high up the field leaving a giant hole behind him. Sure, after 10 opportunities he will get one cross right finally.

But it is not even comparable to the technical level of moharrami. There is no reason why he should AT THE VERY LEAST not be a consistent TM callup and we work him into the lineups and see what he can do. Its clear ramin isnt the answer moving forward, nor is voria or mansouri. Here we have a young player who clocked in over 1600 mins for Dinamo zagreb last year, is performing solid (Although again not perfect, the fact he picked up another injury that kept him out until last weekend missing 4-5 games is not good) for a team that has a good chance of achieving europa league qualification, yet we should stick to the washed up guy who hasnt won ONE MATCH all season playing as a right winger for some al shottor?

It is really difficult to understand.

I can see Branco selecting Moharami over Rezaeian. First of all Branco is not a fan of Rezaeian and send him away during his time at Perspolis. Branco also prefered Moharami over Rezaeian when both played for Perspolis and he was the head coach. Also the fact that Moharami plays in Branco's home country Croatia helps.

Well one thing is pretty sure, with Branko as head coach he will most likely start.

Did Branko play him over Rezaeian at PP?

Rezaeian and Moharrami only shared 1 year (2016-2017) together at PP before Rezaeian left to join Oostende. But to answer your question, he did play Moharammi over Ramin at times and other times Ramin was shifted to another position leaving RB for Moharammi to start. Moharammi had 20 league appearances for PP in 2016-17 in which he also had 20 league appearances a year prior (2015-2016) for Malavan. Add to that, 1 Cup appearance and 10 continental appearances. In total, having 31 appearances for the 2016-2017 season. In contrast to his tenure at Malavan having 37 appearances in all competitions during his time there.

It has been rumored that Branko was not a huge fan of Ramin at PP.

                            - He's coming to Dinamo Zagreb on a free. He will be one of their best signings of the last few years, one of the best foreigners. Believe me, in a few years Dinamo will make 10m euros on his transfer.

                            heres your confirmation
But yes, Branko has always been very fond of Moharrami.

Pretty sure Alipour and Rabikhah won't be invited under Branco. Moharami and Khalilzadeh probably will though, and rightfully so. Moharami is our best right back and Khalilzadeh is one of our best central defenders along with Pouraliganji, Hosseini and Kanaanizadegan.

Branco might not be as pragmatic as CQ or even near his level as a coach, but he is no Wilmots i tell ya.
