They actually beat a strong psv side 2-1. Ebrahimi played all of first half. Ezatolahi played last 20 mins. At least he seems a bit more in the picture now.

Looks like Eupen played Charleroi today and lost. Ebrahimi played. Gholi with an assist. Nothing else remarkable.

Wow, Ezatolahi wasn’t even on the bench.... again. This guy is done in Europe and possibly for TM too.

I wouldn't say that, he's young and talented. One good season in IPL and he'll be right back in TM, couple of good seasons in IPL and TM and he could be playing in Europe again.. he's young and has his whole career still in front of him, ofcourse it all depends on his own mentality and desire to succeed in football.

he is physically way too weak. thats also why he gets injured so much. he should join the dutch league.

Absolutely agree. This guys biggest issue is he doesn’t train hard enough. He’s way too lazy and just isn’t in peak physical shape. So so so so so depressing. This guys intangibles are insane, he’s honestly one of the most talented iranians I’ve seen.

I wouldn't say he is physically weak, he's actually a big and strong guy, however he is very injury prone and like Iranianarsenal said he's probably also very lazy. He should change his work mentality, if he does he will have a decent or good football career, if not, he will be forgotten in a few years. Currently he is our most talented defensive midfielder by far.

not sure about the bold but agree to the rest of your post..!
up until the latest knock to his knees at a TM training camp( pre-Asian Cup), he was a pretty solid, healthy and consistent performer for TM and his clubs..!!
there were so much ambiguity and sorta miss-information ?cover-up efforts? regarding the Nature of his injury from both TM medical staff and those of Reading football club, that makes me wonder if his injury was far more serious than eventually publicized ..!
perhaps he still has'nt fully recovered and the old knock also still playing a part in his pathetic current fitness and form..??

he looked way over-weight and slow AF the last bit of action i saw of him a while back during Ajax friendly.....!! his movement about the pitch , general positioning, calm in possession and touch on his passes still looked all right otherwise.... it was just that he was about 3-5 second behind the action and too slow to catch up with the pace of the game..!

SE's quad injury may have been more serious than medical staff realized and completely mismanaged. The duration of recovery seems to suggest that he suffered compartment syndrome (bleeding into the muscle), which can lead to chronic damage if not correctly diagnosed and treated. Unfortunately this injury and its maltreatment may cost him his career as it is not easy to recover from (e.g. M. Ozil has not been the same since his injury). Let's hope for the best for the young man.

yeah big and strong for iranian standards, but in a competition with lots of african players he has to be physically stronger than he is (for the midfield and defending position). also the reason why pouraliganji, rezaeian and naderi failed in belgium.
he should join the dutch league, where they focus more on technique and creativity instead of physique

I don't agree with you at all. At 6 foot 3 and weghing 80 kg Ezatolahi is big and strong by international football standards. Ebrahimi who is a lot smaller and physically less strong has done decent and even outstanding in some games for Eupen. Pouraliganji was also decent but he was playing in a weak team where even Maldini himself would not have been able to do much. Naderi was probably too young and inexperienced and Rezaeian is a diva who was crying about how lonely and boring it was in Oostende. If your argument was valid then a small statured and nimble player such as Gholizadeh wouldn't have been able to tear up the Belgian league against all those big and strong African players. The problem with Ezatolahi is that he hasn't been able to perform for any of his clubs in Europe, and this is due to his mentality and laziness and not physical weakness.

It almost seems like this guy has been injured for the majority of his career ... I hope to see one season of him in Europe where he competes regularly..

there is absolutely no reason somebody with his physique should be injured so much. None. He was healthy for all his time in atletico development team, rostov, Amkar, Anji, with very little injuries. He has a 6ft3 inch frame, but is heavily built. Basically he is a tank. While luck has something to do with it, the frequency of his injuries, the manner in which he seems overweight and sluggish both in terms of actual pace/and speed of play look all like indicators off the pitch something isnt right. If he has certain injury niggles he always gets he needs to be working doubly hard to strengthen those muscles/rehab/ensure it doesnt happen.

IT is a well known fact that he is a major partier (drinking, smoking, etc) which is his business, many players have been. But unfortunately it is majorly affecting his performances and health/fitness. He doesnt really have any good advisors around him, like sardar did with Berdyev/his parents living with him who can show him down the right path and keep him on tight leash.

I remember one of his best performances ever, came for rostov at home vs Anderlecht in the Champions League. In a midfield with both Youri Tielemans and Leon dendonker, he absolutely dominated, scoring one, hitting the bar, and earning rostov a great 2-2 result, which they were able to take into anderlecht and finish the job, qualifying for next round of the prelims. Those two players are now in Belgian national team, regulars for Leicester and Wolves, two of the most exciting teams in England. On that day, in a far weaker team, saeid looked just as much of a player as them.

For somebody with his physique, technical ability defensive awareness, to get to europe at the age of 18 in one of the most premier academies is something that most iranian players, even deserving ones, could never even dream of. To be coached by Simeone at that age on a regular basis, what an opportunity. Even moving to a CL team like rostov with a big coach like berdyev who could have molded him like he did with sardar, another great opportunity. In his loan spells especially at Amkar he rebounded well with some great matches vs the likes of Spartak, Zenit, etc playing as a really deep DM and saving them from almost certain relegation. And he had a great WC, another opportunity to show himself. Whatever happened in reading, no real information, bad injury, constant changing of return date, and then no contract extension offered at the end of the season smells of his own goh kari, and now his lack of any game time at eupen after returning months late to Rostov training camp (who would have still been a great place for him as they are top 5 in russia right now playing good football in new stadium with good coach) basically confirms all of these rumors.

Basically this kid has pissed away every chance he has gotten. Luckily for him he is still 23 for another year or so. He can turn it around if he really wants, he has all the tools to do so, but evidence suggest he will choose otherwise.
