    IPL among other european leagues

Our best teams struggle against Qatari, Emirati and Saudi clubs regularly...I’d say we’re barely around the level of the Swedish league. Not sure if PP or SS would beat Malmö or AIK.

As for competing in CL or EL, just look at the results of Iranian clubs in the Asian Champions League, majorly underwhelming. When we faced Korean and Japanese teams, we lost both times (FC Seoul and Kashima Antlers i think).

I think our best teams are slightly better than Emirati ones, on par with or slightly below Qatar ones and below Saudi ones. That's true we often lost against Korean/Japanese teams before but the trend were enhancing before they splitted ACL in West and East zone. Also, ACL is done for east asian clubs as it start in march (group stage) and finish in november (final). In the middle (summer), IPL teams completly change and don't have the financial power of KSA/Qatari teams. Add to this an IPL team qualify for the next ACL in may and has to play its first ACL game in march of the next year!!!

I don't think Asian competitions/results can tell us about European competitions as the level and the style of play isn't the same. Our TM can struggle against Bahrain, Iraq or such teams but could play wonderfully/get respectable results against Spain, Portugal, Chile, Argentina...

It is only friendlies but our clubs could also have decent results in friendlies against european teams (Bayern, Fenerbahçe, Bursaspor, Hammarby, Eupen).

About question 1), I agree we would be around Sweden level
About questions 2 & 3), I think IPL teams would have awful results in the first years but would improve year after year like what azerbaijan/Kazakhstan teams did. I also think it will be easier for us to attract quality foreigners with european competitions than ACL
Question 2) : IPL top teams would be kicked out before reaching the group stage. May have an IPL team reaching the group stage (but finish last) after 4 years of european competitions
Question 3) : IPL top teams would reach the group stage but would finish dead last of the group. May have an IPL team reaching the last 32 after some years of european competitions

Our league sucks but terrible scheduling of ACL doesn't help us either.
Same Zob managed to beat Nasr of Saudi but because of new season Nasr got stronger and Zob lost few players and lost the momentum.

ACL is not a good measure.

If we're talking average level of the league, our average team would be perfectly average in Europe (outside of the top 10 leagues).

Def outside the top 20. We struggle against UAE, Qatar, Saudi teams and seem to always lose against Japanese/Korean teams.
Scotland is 20. Imagine PP/SS going up against Celtic. It would easily be 3-0 Celtic

Voted for 33 - 37. That looks accurate to me.

Playing in the Polish which is ranked 25th, Farshad Ahmadzadeh said the league is 10 levels above Iran.

Are we talking facilities or talent?

Because if its facilities we are probably one of the worst in terms of countries that actually like football.
