sure except with 7 year ish age difference and a difference in ability that is like night and day. Thats kind of a meaningless comparision. Haghighi was objectively not that high level of a GK even at his best. He had a lot of fundamental flaws and we saw that when CQ quickly benched him and even totally dropped him after emergence of beiro.

On the other hand saeid has not managed his career well, but injuries and luck have really been against him too. He was performing amazing at reading before he tore his quad with TM and has kind of been recovering from that ever since. Regardless for all the shit we talk about him (and believe I have had people with close knowledge talk to me about this guys party habits) when fit he is still our best cdm.

If he can put together one injury free season that will be enough to show his quality. At his age he still has time to figure it out.

And wrt atletico madrid, this guy did not play for atletico madrid. He didnt even play for the B team. He played for the juvenil team and for sure had some good performances in youth CL, got to train sometimes with first team, but he didnt choose to leave a situation where he was really a player for atletico madrid. That is just false, although it makes for a good story. You could make the case for sure he didnt use his opportunity there as well as he could have, but if you wanna be real Saul, Koke, Rodri, Thomas Partey, Gabi, Tiago and others were the CMs ahead of him during/around that time. Ezatolahi was never gonna make it there.

Man I really hope this guy gets it figured out and we see some sort of free transfer of him to the Portuguese league or even back to Belgium. Honestly even being back in Rostov wouldn’t be too bad but just do whatever he needs to do to be back in his prime because this guy is such a rock in our DM and him not being there really showed in all the games without him. Looking back at it we probably would’ve lost vs Portugal and lost by a larger margin vs Spain were it not for his big physical presence

He won't return to Rostov, his contract expires in 20 days. There's no point in returning. He'll be looking for a new club.

The timing of his injury whilst he was at Reading was awful , plus Paul Clement getting sacked as well. You could see that he could have made a name for himself there.

He was just a guest on dorehami and actually announced that he has 2 years left on his contract. Very strange that he’s not there training with the team, especially when modiri asked him how things are going there and he said “khoob kohdaro shokr”

What?! Lol. His potential is undeniable, but this guy's story just gets stranger and stranger.

Lots of talented people don't want to put in the effort. Maybe he falls in that category.

Him and his idiot agent(s) have shot him in the feet several times over. Dealing with sketchy clubs and sketchy contracts.

Iran’s MVP vs Spain not playing in a top league after the WC is disappointing. Getting injured before the 2019 Asian Cup didn’t help Saeid’s situation

I think he will somehow still manage to get signed by a European team. It is very unfortunate how little he has played in his club career, Carlos fully believed in him though, he has potential

LOL. The only idiot is himself. His agent may be a bad advisor but Rostov are a top 5 club in russia with massive new stadium and euro football next season. Their current CDM Matthias normann is now the subject of interest from a bunch of big european clubs, including united and tottenham.

Reading was a good move too, if he had worked out there it would have been great for his development and visibility. Hell even Eupen would have been fine if he was fit and in form and played for a whole season. Bigger belgian clubs and lower/midtable bundesliga and Ligue 1 teams are constantly snapping up young players from there, especially from teams like eupen where they can get a good bargain.

If he was serious he would have taken one of these many chances. I was under the impression he was definitely a free agent, if he isnt he should get his ass back to rostov and beg for a spot back because he will not be playing for a team of that level any time in the future otherwise.

so from what i can tell he signed a 4 year contract with Rostov before the 2015-16 season. then he signed a 2.5 year extension in February 2017.

                            this
his agents are absolute shittt...! khesham has a bad reputation for being koongoshado o unprofessional ..?
even when he was an automatic starter for CQ game in and game out for 3years or more..? and one of top TM performers, every fking summer there be some juicy rumors linking him with good EU clubs and every damn time nothing would materialize and he'd end up last minute shipped off late in transfer season to some tokhmy club like Amkar or eupen or even reading/rostov for that matter ..!
almost any other young DM in the world of football with his international pedigree and experience would have amassed themselves a far more impressive club careers/transfers than him..!
his contract with Rostov always came across sketchy AF and now him claiming to have 2 more years on his contract with Rostov..? makes it seem even more sketchy than ever..!!
come to think of it almost any transfer involving Berdiev end up seeming sketchy AF..! ?
From Azmoun's Rubin/Rostov contract dramas gerefeth to Saied's @ Rostov and getting loaned out left and right, all over the globe after his first year there .... to Reza Shekari's domestic contract pissfights before finally forcing a move to play for Birdman in Rubin and then getting shipped back to iran and even Alireza Haghighi's first EU move to near constantly warming the Birdman's Rubin bench for a year and then getting sent on loans to here and there all over the globe..!!
something always seemed fishy and not quiet kosher with any moves involving Birdieve ..? even his own coaching transfers..!! lol

Isn’t his agent his dad? Leaving Atlético was an awful move in hindsight....

idk guys, what clubs do you expect for a player that has played 10 club matches in the past 3 years? Since his decent season with amkar he has done nothing on a club level and cant keep himself fit for an extended period of time (lot to do with partying lifestyle, staying in iran on extended vacay always instead of busting his ass back to training camps early). There is only so much an agent can do. He has been provided with 3 clubs where he could easily show his worth and has failed each time (rostov, reading, Eupen). Why would a bigger be trying to get him if he could even match a decent string of matches here?

If he wasnt professional enough to show up to rostov training camp last year on time and returned so overweight it took him months to get back in any sort of shape by the time he went to eupen and then reinjured himself, why should another good team take a risk on him? What can his agent do if the guy himself thinks its ok to show up to training camp that late?
